    We were all exited to a point on acquiring mahle but Twins fans were leary of the trade because of injury concerns and upset with falvey and team by not doing there due diligence on his medical records , he had shoulder problems before the trade , he suffered more after the trade and it took them into 2023 to find out he needed Tommy John surgery ... The front office really had no business believing the twins were serious contenders in 2022 and making the blundering trades , they were competitive but not contenders ... The twins were a more serious contending team in 2023 and the front office did nothing at the deadline to improve the team , they have been gun shy at doing deadline deals since 2022 to fill the needed holes ... After a disastrous 2024 season the front office continues to believe the twins are serious contenders and living on hope that the same players can win the division , the goal is to win the division with a solid competitive team , not to limp in as a wild card and hope anything can happen ... We will know by end of June what this team will be capable of accomplishing , the offense needs to click and show the consistency of their hitting skills , they can't keep making every opponents pitcher look like Cy Young ... Wish mahle the best , just not against the twins tonight

    Sometimes I think we just abandon playing baseball all together , some days are awful tough to watch the games , but I do ... State of pitching is solid , still think it's a strength , still have work to do on the fundamentals , defense and offense , we are getting close to the half way mark of 81 games , we will know the true identity by tge end of June .... Wallner hasn't looked to good in rightfield this year , last year he might of played more left field because we still had Kepler , maybe we should for good of the team switch wallner to left and larnach to right field ... If wallner stays in right field I expect him to improve because he is just coming back from an injury , team is probably telling him to take it easy and not run to hard until you know for sure you are close to 100 percent , look how Lewis started coming back from injury and he seems and we hope he has turned the corner ... Base running blunders still amaze me , losing concentration on the bases is unacceptable ...

    Thanks for Maldonado ... Vazquez's defense will be difficult to replace , Defensive catchers are not as easy to find like in years past , catchers are leaders and the good ones are , he works good behind the plate , calls a good game ... His defense has some value andcit has won us some games ... I've always liked Vazquez , can't help it that fans don't like him because he's making 10ml ... To each their own

    Yep , besides his defense and great smarts behind the plate , his hitting hasn't been too bad for awhile , he's got his batting average at about 215 , by end of the year maybe he could hit a little better than the past couple of twins years , he's motivated because he's a free agent after this season , I wouldn't mind resigning him again for 8 to 10 million depending on his season with the bat , but for his defense alone , sign him for 6 million or what ever Houston was paying that defensive catcher who I think is catching with white Sox ( just cant think of his name right now ) ...

    The twins win and thats great news ... The month of June and Joe Ryan ... Ryan is throwing to many pitches and not going past 5 innings the 2 starts in June , 3 walks in each start too ... Is it a reason for concern , I'll wait to decide and just keep watching his starts ... Like pags above mentioned , 3 runs scored without the benefit of a hit , 2 Homer's in today's game and they were solo homeruns , when are the twins hitters going to get on base and then get the homerun , we definitely have a problem when runners are in scoring position and we rarely come through with a game changing clutch homerun or a clutch single , double , triple or sac bunt to manufacture runs ... We have to play small ball and help ease the strain on our pitchers ... Looks like Rocco may not use Adam's before he is sent back to AAA ...

    He's just reporting information and he has that right to do so , nobody should tell anybody on this sight what they can say or not say , we're all fans of MLB baseball , every team and their players , or there wouldn't be baseball ...

    Try not to let it bother you , it's just the way some people show their politics ... I seen it as just stating the facts on a player resurrecting their career , maybe because they didn't go to driveline they didn't like it ...

    Wallner is looking the worse of the two , his defense hasn't looked good so far but I'm sure it will get better ... But I agree , one of the players should be groomed for first base , what's taking them so long to make it happen ..

    I surely wasn't expecting this , he's been experiencing this his last couple of starts , the one in Seattle where he gave up 4 runs in first inning but through a total of ⁵⁵7 innings and then against the Athletics he went 5 and got the win , I did mention in that game on the game thread that I thought his delivery was funky , so maybe he was favoring his shoulder while pitching .... Can never have to much pitching , we are not half way through this season and twins have another pitcher on the IL list ... SWR pitching good in AAA , no reason he can't pitch well up here again ...
