I think if the Twins are in contention, they are looking for a pure rental. Maybe just convince ownership to take on some salary. They've (ownership) been saying for years they can add to payroll if needed, but JR always found a way to avoid arguing for that. Probably a moot point in July anyhow.
I love this feature. Recently it has been acting wonky: taking me to the first post, then clicking the view first unread post, I brought to the top of a later page. This doesn't happen all the time and it just started acting up in the last week or so. A minor inconvenience to be sure, but little problems can sometimes forecast bigger problems I'm using Safari on Mac OS when I encounter the issue. I also read occasionally on iOS which has not shown the problem.
I figured that Adrianza would start at short with EE at 2b and Polanco DH vs Sale with Dozier unavailable. If for no other reason than to give Polanco a mini-rest. Is this a matter of Molitor making a show of his confidence in Polanco at short after yesterday's game? Is it a bad idea to play the new call-up with the backup as the other middle infielder? Is this in preparation Dozier maybe needing a DL stay? Get the new guy in at 2b in case thats where he'll be playing? Thoughts? It's probable that I'm missing something obvious or overthinking the call, but that decision should have some reason behind it.
Im with you on that, but a sprained ankle pretty much always heals, even if it requires a DL stint. Whenever you see the word concussion thrown in, images of Koskie, Morneau, Mauer and the like pop into my head.
Interesting that nobody from Rochester deserved even an honorable mention. Pretty easy call that there will be a lot of shuffling in the bullpen for all levels of the organization. If the team hangs around, there are a lot of relievers who will need to be fast-tracked.
Always crummy to get a chance to watch a game from beginning to end and have it be a blowout. Oh well, makes for good background noise while doing chores, I suppose.
It's sad. He was quite good for a while. Im grateful that this injury prevents him from trying to push through it on a big league field, because we know the Twins would let him. No reason to not have him rehabbing and trying different things to see if something works. Worst case scenario, the medical staff learns something from him.
