  1. So Duensing can't get out righties because he has a legit excuse being flip-flopped between the bullpen and the rotation according to Bert. But he crucified Slowey for saying it was messing with him?
  2. While not all of that post I endorse - I do endorse the core ideas by Dave. The lefts resction with the licenses was ridiculous ad was the christian rights response.
  3. We should probably find a new example for this. He's failed to be the "cheap ace"...three different times now I think?
  4. Oh, didn't know that - my apologies John. But um, yeah, those guys are the problem.
  5. Actually, the reason I'd claim Lee is the hope for a bounce-back and him turning into an attractive trade option.
  6. *Insert obnoxious "Whoa!" sounder from Paul Allen show* How does anyone tolerate the talentless, knowledge-less hacks they have on before Common? Hell, Common's bit is to be a talentless, knowledge-less hack and he's better at it than the guys that actually are!
  7. Yeah but if he can't spot his fastball....does cutting down on his repertoire really help?
  8. Also, is it just me or are there some nights, during the game broadcast that 1500 appears to be dead air? Especially if you're in the Woodbury area? I think switching would be a mistake. 1500 devotes significant time to the Twins and have pretty knowledgeable guys talking about it. KFAN always feels so forced with their Twins talk. (Though, admittedly, I haven't listened to anything on KFAN before noon in months. I found I was leaking brain-matter out of my ears directly proportional to the presence of The Power Trip or Paul Allen on the radio)
  9. Regret only helps if they can get a time machine somehow. It won't alter anything in the future unfortunately.
  10. See I can't get 96.3 on the east side of the metro since I think they broadcast out of Shakopee.
  11. The problem with Deduno is that he can't even be a reliever - he's just too erratic to be anything but a spot starter. Pitched a nice game though.
  12. 96.3 isn't much better than 1500 in terms of range.
  13. Depending upon what you have to give up - I think I would. Hell, if they are just trying to get out of his contract this would be a "buy low" move. Hard not to endorse that.
  14. I'm going to periodically talk crap about Dozier more often on here. Seems to work well for the kid.
  15. Let's hope that isn't just gushing and is accurate - if so that is excellent news.
  16. Blyleven has prounced his name 80 different ways. Did I just hear DeDoumit?
  17. The only problem is that sometimes you hurt a kid's future by continually allowing him to fail. Right now Dozier isn't succeeding at much of anything, so confidence can start to become an issue. As has been said here already - he's not even doing the things he normally does right.
  18. I hear Sid had a gun. Made Gardy say it!
  19. May whatever diety you believe in help you - cuz living in a purely literal world has to make you one goofy sucker. I pity your inability to see context and implication. Yo're like a goofy SNL caricature. "the man who can only understand literal meaning" When Slowey said "I cant throw out of the pen" were you bashing Blyleven and the other clowns? How abput Perkins? Nevermind I'm sure you'll hide behind "different situations." Jesus.
  20. Delusional. Check. We all got it - no need to respond the next time someone posts something about how the team mishandled his situation to the press. You're absolutely right that you've said it to death - I'm done trying to help you see your own delusion.
  21. How is Pavano any different!?! He pitched with no strength in his arm for multiple starts until the team pulled him. The only difference, is that Pavano was hurting the team when it counts! And yes, you are assuming intention. You're assuming that what they said should be taken at pure face value, with no intent to hurt Baker. That is an assumption. It's a particularly big assumption when you take into account the fact that this team has passive-aggressively dogged multiple players in recent years. That list is also well stated on the forum. Your position is akin to sticking your fingers in your ears and singing "la la la" because you refuse to acknowledge the team handled it poorly. There was ZERO reason to go to the media with any of those concerns. But they did it to Baker and protected their boy Pavano to the bitter end.
  22. Am I crazy or does he look even more incompetent than that from the right side? Some of his at-bats are brutal to watch against left-handed starers.
  23. That's the most likely situation, so I agree. I guess I was just curious if anyone had heard, read, or had other information. Players get shuffled around in the minors not always because it fits them best, but because of organizational strengths/weaknesses. I'd like to see him get some spot innings there in September, just to see what his chops actually are. No high hopes, just an option that could help this team.
