  1. Sweet! Call to the bullpen! This should end well.
  2. Why would anyone expect anything to change with this organization? Rob Antony may be GM, but Terry Ryan is still calling the shots if for no other reason than he ingrained his mindset into the pupil.
  3. Nice stat. Over the past 10 years the Blue Jays and Yankees are top two in winning percentage against a single opponent, both the Twins.
  4. I can't wait to see what off-season moves this organization makes. Should be exciting.
  5. .260/.364/.509/.872 37 HR 101 RBI 96 BB 242 K Obviously the K rate is ghastly but every other statistic is outstanding... and the Twins considered sending him down to AAA.
  6. Rain delay in the Bronx! That would be hilarious if Arod didn't even get to play his final game. EDIT: It's raining but I believe the delay to be for his pregame ceremony. The skies do look ominous, however.
  7. "What impresses me the most about Polanco is his calmness when bunting."- Molitor Are you kidding me?
  8. Dear God, Dick. "Basically, the Indians needed to get Guyer because they let Robbie Grossman slip through their fingertips in May."
  9. Double, a major league player can't be expected to catch that.
  10. THAT IS A ****ING DOUBLE??? COME ON.... GET IT TOGETHER.
  11. I like that Santiago's career FIP is almost 1 run higher than his career ERA. To paraphrase Rob Antony, "santiago is a 10-4 guy, but I think he could be a 4-10 guy."
  12. I will fault Ryan for acquiring a terrible healthy pitcher.
  13. The point is always five years from now. Even when they were good they were always looking five years in advance.
  14. Top 100 guys don't really do anything for me. The majority of them don't pan out anyway and I have zero faith in this organization's ability to develop anyone. Edit: By top 100 I clearly do not mean top 25 but fringe top 100 guys don't excite me.
  15. I'm with you. They are not going to sign anyone as good as him this offseason so unless the return is better than Santana what's the point?
  16. Am I the only one that just despises the trade deadline? I just hate seeing star for prospect trades. I don't want to see Sale pitch for anyone other than Chicago. I don't want to see Puig anywhere but LA. I don't want to see someone like Jay Bruce who has spent his entire career in Cincinnati play for NY. I'm ok with useful parts like Aaron Hill or Eduardo Nunez being traded but it kills me a little bit each time I see a great player leaving the only team they've been apart of.
  17. Watching this organization attempt to reign in Puig would be worth the trade alone. That said, Robbie Grossman and Kurt Suzuki are not getting it done. Regarding Oliva mentoring him, I think that is irrelevant. Puig doesn't appear to want a mentor or any outside help. He didn't even want to talk to Luis Gonzalez.
  18. Well, that's too many pitches for Santana to attempt the ninth inning. Molitor has already set that precedent.
  19. Terry will un-resign now that Storen has been made available. But only if Bernadinha comes with him.
  20. Molitor is one lucky SOB. It was still a terrible move to take Gibson out.
  21. If they blow this game I hope Gibson demands a trade. Or that Molitor be fired on the spot.
  22. Well, we've got to get our 16 man pitching staff some work.
