    That is optimistic. We don't even have a 4th or 5th starter three days from camp and if it ends up being Tillman and Lackey we won't win 75.

    At least we have roster flexibility to extend Hughes and sign Tillman.

    It is THEIR fault, though. They have shown no desire to make the move that will put them over the top... ever. Even signing Darvish isn't going to make them the favorite. At some point they need to go all in or in 50 years we'll be talking about the glory days of winning 85 games and sneaking into the play-in game every couple of years. Even when they don't go all in they are still prone to long rebuilding projects so what is the point of not trying to win?

    Then we are better equipped to handle those failures because we have a legitimate ace. If they all sucks, we'll have to start the rebuild again anyway (which will take a minimum of two years to decide) and the sixth year won't make a bit of difference during the rebuild.

    Did I read this correctly? Why would Napoli be trying to lure Darvish to the Twins?

    All of the key FA pitchers are significantly better than Gibson, Mejia, and whoever the 5 is.
