  1. Belisle warming up in a one run game in the ninth. One last sick joke from Molly on his way out?
  2. I like when they have an opening montage. It makes the game feel important and I feel like all sports used to do this more often.
  3. Good things happen when you put the ball in play. Take note other 360 batters in MLB.
  4. More nauseating to me is the bullpen usage. There are going to be eight or nine guys with 200 innings pitched this year. That is absurd.
  5. And Grossman has been our cleanup hitter for the past three weeks and he is arguably our best hitter (aside from Astudillo the Great). That is absurd.
  6. Ha, Gorg, "The Twins thought they had this win in their back pocket a half hour ago." What would possess anyone to believe that?
  7. God hates us. We'll have to ride this out to the bitter end.
  8. Also this game was flying along until Molitor intervened.
  9. I hate to say this but I honestly hope this team loses every game the rest of the season to make sure there is absolutely no doubt that Molitor needs to go.
  10. Why the **** is Molitor continually taking out his "starter" after 75 pitches in these cluster**** games where he doesn't actually start? This season has been lost for five months and we should be seeing if Stewart and Gonsalves have what it takes to go deep into games, not go five or six innings. My god.
  11. If it turns out Mauer isn't in the lineup or doesn't retire you can always tell your son that his first game was Johnny Fields's last.
  12. I think you missed a step after 2 in order to make 3 a possibility...
  13. This organization has built up so much bad will (for me) that I still won't believe in them if they win 95 games and the division next year. Last year, they were a decent enough team but the only time I made it a point to watch or get excited was when Bartolo dazzled us with 5.1 innings and 4 earned runs every fifth day. It's an extremely boring team that is not good and does not show signs of being good any time soon.
  14. Molitor had a quote in the STRIB yesterday that Hildy has shown he isn't intimidated by the ninth inning. I would say the exact opposite as he has been terrible since taking over closing duties. I fear if Molly is around next season that Hildy will be our closer.
  15. Dick and I just said, "Randy Bush!" at the same time. I hate me.
  16. The silver lining is that Hildenberger is pitching himself out of what I assumed would be the closer role next season if he was even reasonally competent.
  17. At this point we can get rid of everyone but Berrios, Rosario, and Astudillo and I would not give a ****. I really don't want to see anything in this bullpen ever again.
  18. Does this count as a successful opening experiment? The first two guys were good but then the third and fourth guy imploded.
  19. Also Magill is regressing rapidly to the point of not wanting him back next year.
  20. What happened to Busenitz? Before the season, I would have predicted Hildenberger to be the surprise relief pitcher from last season to regress (which he technically has, I suppose) but Busenitz has imploded.
  21. Just offer salary relief. That's all the Marlins want anyway. Throw them some garbage. So, about 90 percent of the guys on your list qualify.
  22. Jed Gyorko because he has a high launch angle and low contact rate and doesn't run, field, or hit well. If Ryan were around, I'd assume Peralta since we played him 18 times a year for ten years. they'll probably sign Jordy Mercer.
  23. Simple solution: Bring back the Reserve clause. Wishful thinking on my part. I'd be a bigger fan of free agency if my team ever used it to their advantage.
  24. Rosario's OPS is now below .800 btw. Concerned?
  25. He reminds me of Deduno. He's not really that great, but he's interesting and the exact opposite of every other player on this roster so we want to keep him just because he is different.
