  1. Parmelee is evidently Doug Mientkiewicz. Also I loved the split screen of Deduno celebrating and praying. He is my favorite Twins player by far and I don't even care if he implodes.
  2. Coomer says some outlandish things but his random fits of giggles after every comment are annoying, TK's mundane approach to everything puts me to sleep although I do appreciate that he calls Bremer "Richard". Smalley is just awful. I pray to God they never throw Laudner out there.
  3. Duensing in to close it out? Yikes.
  4. Honest question- which FA Twins pitcher signed since 1991 has had the highest expectations when we signed him? Or the best previous season? I'm at a loss... really.
  5. Brilliant move! JR said he wanted Arcia to play every day and now he can.... in Rochester.
  6. MLB pitching has exposed weaknesses for all of our hitters.
  7. Randy Choate (coming into tonight) had six times as many holds (6) as strikeouts (1). That is until he struck out Matt Kemp.
  8. And he still has the third highest OPS on the team. This front office is a joke.
  9. That's the point. It really doesn't matter if you can field a lick if you're going to OPS 1.000 but when you're Delmon Young or Brian Buscher you're not long for an organization.
  10. Gibson's agent should demand a trade.
  11. At least this team managed to make it to mid-May this season before becoming unwatchable.
  12. I disagree. Buscher had zero value. Thome was the best hitter on the team in 2010. The problem is when you sacrifice defense for sluggers that don't slug like Delmon, Doumit, and Plouffe.
  13. Freeman boots a ball and then throws it away. Error overturned to a hit.
  14. It will be interesting to see how many K our pitch to contact staff gets against the free swinging Braves.
  15. It's actually quite impressive that the Sandlot actors are still in the stadium watching the game six and a half hours later. And looking like they're enjoying themselves too.
  16. It must be an organization philosophy. Dick has spent the better part of the last week saying, "See, pitch to contact does work!"
  17. How about it's dumb that it's calculated in different ways since Punto is a 1.1 on BR and .9 on Fangraphs. What other stat just spews out random numbers like that? You don't have one place listing his OPS as .868 and another at .831. So I guess it goes back to the use of defensive metrics to determine a player's value and how flawed that is.
  18. Thank you for giving Plouffe an error.
  19. Thank God. Wonder what stupid calculation that article was referencing.
  20. 55 innings of 1.62 ERA and .90 whip > 65 AB of .880 OPS
