  1. That was a good at bat anyway. 8 pitches left on left is a long term winner. Just don’t be helpless.
  2. No. Will it be our new pinch hit platoon crusade?
  3. Bummer Julien has to face the lefty here.
  4. Little bit of defense gives him an outside chance at 7. Alas, no.
  5. Sir, Gasper is original tread. The proper tire term is dry rot.
  6. Interesting to see what the corresponding moves are. Gasper down but 40 man spot will be needed.
  7. So many things said in this thread simply do not matter if they could figure out how to get hitters over the hump in the major leagues. So many guys destroying AAA and look lost on the big field. It’s also the root cause for a spotty trade record. Something is missing in position player development that if figured out unlocks everything. Especially using higher draft capital for hitters. Pitching is the currency of the game and the way they go about it should lead to many options for roster building. That ability should buy them a considerable amount of rope. They just need an owner that will spend enough to allow good baseball moves. The last few years aren’t a great raw evaluation but I think they deserve a lot of credit for how a tough situation has been handled.
  8. The comp isn't a projection, it's a reminds me of. Comp has never meant expect a similar career. Go watch Oswalt highlights, then watch Morris pitch. It's pretty obvious.
  9. Nobody is talking about him, except this is like the 5th feature article. I like the kid too. Absolute bulldog but as @tony&rodney mentioned the emotions can run high and are visible in good and bad ways. Pitches angry. I'd have to look back for why but the comp I had was Roy Oswalt.
  10. Let's not distract the new Bride with a shortstop discussion, they aren't related. There was also an article in early spring after the money started flowing that they were in the market for a backup shortstop and many scoffed, including me. The more we talked about it, a Jose Iglesias would have really really looked nice, but still not completely a shortstop discussion. This is a Dallas Kuechel move, someone to buy some time and maybe catch a small bit of lightning. And a move like this is required when an Iglesias was not previously secured. Kyle Farmer, we kinda miss you. Every year, a new combination of injuries creates something weird.
  11. While I generally support swinging more than bunting, this is the exact situation where those skills are still required. Manufacturer something here.
  12. Don't care. Don't have the limit then.
  13. What is the logic behind giving challenges back just because late innings?
  14. Good inning for Jax to have a good inning.
  15. Buxton has only had three seasons with double digit steals. And Matty Lawton was healthy alot and a pretty solid player.
  16. Missed saying it at the time but Provus asked Rocco why Ober is so good at bouncing back from early home runs. Duh-lots of practice?
  17. This ruling will be interesting.
