  1. I posted this on a Subreddit (r/baseballcards_vintage) and someone there opened the door to Topps' craziness! Apparently this kind of shenanigans was commonplace for Topps. https://www.sportscollectorsdaily.com/research-yields-surprises-hidden-in-vintage-topps-baseball-team-cards/
  2. Wow, I didn't notice that! Awesome observation - stuff like that I really appreciate!
  3. I grew up in Minnesota, born in St. Paul in 1968. My friend down the street infected me with the baseball card collecting bug in 1978. So here we are, 46 years later and I'm still collecting! Today I share with you an opus of mine - collecting the entire series of team cards, which started in 1961. There were a few in the 2000s, but I haven't bothered with the new stuff. I hope you enjoy the ride!
  4. Pretty sure the catcher in the Killebrew card is Jerry Moses.
  5. Lopez for MVP and Cy Young award! Now, just let him pitch a complete game or 20.
  6. I'm going out on a limb and say they're gonna LIGHT IT UP this season! 94 WINS!
  7. The Twins are due for a good winning streak, and if it's strong enough they just might win the Central. ...but it'll be {{thisclose}}
  8. LOL no such thing as too much pitching. Ever. Well, maybe too much *bad* pitching heh. The early 1970s Mets and 1990s Braves come to mind.. sure they had enough offense, but it was the pitching that won the day. And further, I really hope they don't entertain the idea to trade the "excess" starting pitching for some washed up 18-year veteran.
  9. LOL - well, as long as us fans are entertained, that's what really matters. I'm happy for the Twins and hope that they can finish strong and beat those dang Yanks!
