  1. He should have never started stopped Max. Not with Max not running well. Twins are not very well coached.
  2. Walker struck out more swinging and couldn't hit breaking pitches. Juliene is same level of poor defender as Walker because he has cement shoes and is slow like molasses in January. I mean Vazquez is faster and that is saying something.
  3. Wonder if impending weather is going to cause a doubleheader. Good chance of lightening with these storms, popping up in West Central Minnesota. Storms popping just west of Wilmar.
  4. I'm hoping they bring Lee back today.
  5. So he would have to be injury addition for Stewart or another 40 man replacement due to injury. Thank's for clarification Chief. Would like to see Twins add a veteran to the bullpen.
  6. I know he would have to fall to us on waiver priority claim. Seems like with Injury's another bullpen arm is needed. Because he was on our roster earlier in year prior to playoff trade deadline, would that make him post season eligible. We seem like we need another veteran that can pitch either as an opener or mid-relief roll. Bullpen seems to be short an arm. Not sure Tonkin will even be available, but I see Yankees DFA'd him. Just wondering if anyone else knows the post season eligibility question?
  7. This loss is gonna sting in September. On this quote, recently Farmer hasnt hit well. His pinch hit effort Friday was poor, and today's results were the same. There was no way Juliene should have been on defense in 9th. To many wasted opportunities this year where Twins have beaten themselves. I would have let Wallner hit against the lefty. If you trust him to bat clean-up you need to start trusting him in later in games. Nootbar was pain in butt all weekend.
  8. He is too by the book at times. Pinch hitting Farmer handcuffed the defense.
  9. This is on Rocco as much as Julien. He knew Julien is a defensive liability. That and Farmer isn't a great defender. This game should be over. Players have to make plays but Rocco sucks! This one is on him.
  10. All you can do is tip your cap on that catch by Scot. This upm's strikezone has been b-rut-al!
  11. Bat's are waking up now. Wallner muscled that through.
  12. Good at bat's this inning. Guys seem to be waiting to see the ball now.
  13. Well for those of us hoping the Twins at-bats would improve, we got a full display of last night's foolishness all over again. This games gonna be a full on turd style if they keep chasing like this.
  14. Pure brilliance pinch hitting Farmer.
  15. Walking in runs, seen this move from Richard's before
  16. Not all is bad and I wouldn't say we have to get new owners. Would be nice if for once in awhile, the Pohlad ownership would stretch to win a World championship on payroll. I understand media rights like TV and radio have been an issue. They cut in the baseball department, front office, area scouts, analytics, and game day operations. One of the reason's attendance suffered is because of the TV blackouts and announcing your cutting payroll and messaging from ownership. I actually think coaches and front office have been doing a really good to decent job. Revenue has suffered on game day operations because pricing is a little steep in merchandise and beer, and some ticket areas. You have to have price points that appeal to wide variety of fans. Would help if we had better April and May weather and this year was fairly mild. Some of this can be made up with volume like family stand stuff they are doing. I think sales group could do better at selling group tix, advertising, signage, sponsorships and theme areas of ballpark. The Truly area for ticket areas is very nice. I'm not always annoyed with Pohlad ownership, they kept team here, do good things with Twins foundation and community, team has been decently competitive/successful this decade and last. The concerts they put on generate good revenue and bring good acts. Be better at fan relations and media rights, access.
  17. Vazquez hustle was noticeable. Let's keep it going!
  18. His defense at first base has been phenomenal. He has been a great Twins player. I don't care that he is 38, there is still tread on the tire and he can still go. I would welcome him back easily.
  19. This isn't just Rocco, it's a direct reflection of ownership tying hands of front office at the trade deadline. They knew they had a few holes and the Pohlad ownership group wouldn't authorize payroll increase without unloading salary. Those constraints limited any trade opportunities. Twins ownership limits chance of success by small thinking.
  20. Santana has been gold glove worthy at 1st base. He hits anywhere you put him in line-up and is a switch hitter. We are lucky to have him and any playoff line-up has to include him.
  21. Lousy throw by Miranda, plus he had a crappy at bat in 10th.
