  1. Mike ruins everything.
  2. Do I have to?
  3. George HW Bush Donald Trump John McCain Bob barker Kim Jong Un Stan Lee Betty white Larry King Willie Nelson John Madden Clint Eastwood Warren Buffett Kanye West Pamela Anderson
  4. I think he can go higher. Wisconsin is obviously the best comparison. That level of competitiveness is the goal. I'd like to be better, but I think the stadium and fan support will hold them back. Once they are competitive, sell out tcf consistently, maybe they can add 20k seats. Head coach football iq is inconsequential imo. Head coach needs to evaluate talent, evaluate coaches, and be somebody kids want to play for. I think kids want to play for fleck, I'm not convinced of the other facets. Both coordinators should be fired.
  5. I read a mediocre review too. I'm pumped to see it regardless.
  6. I think part of the problem is many of those people live in rural areas and aren't concerned about someone coming to their little town and shooting it up. Odds are against that in a big way. There is no sense of what is for the greater good, it is a selfish and ignorant mentality. As long as the NRA is able to continually brainwash people with propaganda, there is going to be enormous amount of resistance to any common sense gun legislation. Just wait until 2020 when the democrats do pass something minor, the NRA is going to completely spaz and **** all over themselves. Democrats will lose the majority in the House in 2022 and it will be because of guns and healthcare. I also expect them to fix this stupid tax plan being passed now.
  7. Good breakdown by Chris cillizza http://www.cnn.com/2017/12/13/politics/alabama-exit-poll-analysis/index.html. Especially proud of the millennial vote. I truly believe my generation is going to change the world. Rejecting Moore is a step in the right direction.
  8. Good win for Jones and democrats. It grates my soul to see how many people claimed the allegations were false. Alabama is in the condition they are because of the continued support for extreme GOP policies. The failure to expand Medicaid by itself is unbelievable to me. Maybe with Jones as the most visible Democrat he can begin to do some good in that state. He will never sway the blood red evangelicals, and the state is destined to stay deep red, but this result gives me some hope there is at least enough sanity to not elect a disgusting human into a powerful position.
  9. Absolutely not him. No words in all caps, no grammatical errors, no innuendo about Jones's sexuality....
  10. This is a good loss. They need to refocus and buckle down for last few months of the season. If they come out flat again this weekend, I'll be a little more concerned. They'll still get the 2 seed, and with Wentz out, Philly isn't guaranteed anything.
  11. Some nice recruits committing. Looks like the o line could be completely new next year. Juco qb that has some skill. This class is solid. At least fleck is getting talent already.
  12. Maybe not against Bachmann, but a moderate Republican would still destroy him in Minnesota. It is a good move for him to step down right now. He can still do a lot of good outside the Senate. There is even mod resistance to Moore being elected this weekend. More than I thought there would be. Of course our president released a robo call for Moore. I'm extremely interested to see how this election turns out. Could have big implications for this idiotic tax bill.
  13. Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems the Republican coalition is much more partisan than democrat voters. About half of the voter base will only vote Republican and will show up at every election. Democrats do have some devoted voters, but it isn't nearly as strong. They can align to fight for certain things, but are much more scattered. I really think taking on gerrymandering will help alleviate some partisanship. Unfortunately, there are still districts like mine that continue to vote for Steve King (sorry to everyone in the world, I try to vote him out). More competitive districts would lead to more moderates imo. Allowing politicians to draw maps is a bad idea.
  14. Roy Moore without the sexual predator angle, is still is terrible candidate. The reason McConnell tried to prop up Strange is that this guy is a menace. Trump tying himself to Moore is a terrible move. It's impossible for me to like Trump less, but there are people on the edge (i think?). There parallel has already been drawn, but when do people look at how Nazi Germany rose to power and decide that isn't the path we want to go down?
  15. This Israel capital issue is puzzling to me. Not a single other country is behind this move. Why the **** are we doing this on our own? Netanyahu is a joke. Obama left barely on spreading terms with him because of many reasons. I just don't get it. We have nothing to gain in the region by propping up Israel at all costs. Trump has to have some reason for this right? Why do it otherwise? This man is single handedly destroying our diplomatic relationships across the globe.
  16. Only when it's convenient. In Iowa the state outlawed local increases to minimum wage. Des Moines and Iowa city raised them and the state made a law that forced it back down. Some businesses are still honoring the raise, but it made no sense for them to make a law that allows more corporate welfare.
  17. I'm not sure I'd go with great. It is important to be consistent. Hopefully this climate can help change the culture of society toward women. It will be a never ending struggle, but the change that is occurring now is long overdue. Hopefully we are able to move beyond this.
  18. Not exactly. Polls showed it would be close. Clinton had the advantage for sure, but it wasn't a sure thing. Even at 25% odds (and it was more like 35-40% I think) that is pretty good betting odds. Plus, they all have a margin of error. And, Clinton won the popular vote by about 3% (calling them points is dumb). So the polls weren't bad, the interpretation was. Credit fivethirtyeight for their great analysis.
  19. I never thought I'd see a real life Watergate situation. This is becoming more and more bizarre. His lawyer now claiming he is above the law and taking credit for a tweet? When the dust settles I really think the only questions remaining will be the same people that think the Clintons killed people (in other words, everyone that listens to faux news).
  20. Yay. The gop finally found a way to come together to pass a bill for their donors. Unfortunately, it will negatively impact 50% or more of their voting base, but at least they fought the democrats. Still has to pass reconciliation, so there is still a chance of failure. Loving listening to the trickle down economics argument from people. Tough to explain why corporations need more money when they're pulling in huge profits though. Haven't seen anyone able to articulate why increasing those profits would lead to anything but money for shareholders...
  21. Another ICB launch... Trump says he'll deal with it. Less than confident he'll do anything besides tweet.
  22. Good luck? My question is, why play this kid at all? Then, with the writing on the wall, why keep playing him! What a disaster of a year.
  23. That is sick. Conservatives selling their souls has to catch up to them at some point.
  24. I just can't even. People will actually take a stand for this man and his comments.
  25. I'm over Stewart. I've been hoping he could put it together, but doubting it more each day. If I was a bad team, why would I want a guy that doesn't miss bats and sits in the low 90s with a straight fastball? He won't get claimed. Jury is out on him. Unless he finds more bite to his slider or a cutter, he is destined to fizzle out.
