  1. Clinton won the popular vote by a few percentage points. These margins would translate into electoral college land slides.
  2. More fodder for discussion.
  3. She actually has a ton of plans that practically address a variety of issues, have you done your homework or are you just throwing anti-left opinions against the wall?
  4. The election day thing sounds interesting, as it will serve to encompass a greater share of the production by the time the all star game rolls around.
  5. Nice to see Polanco leading his position. And CJ Cron, at second, is within striking distance. The voters surprisingly look seemingly informed rather than simply the major markets and superstars leading.
  6. You don't go by dad? Pfft. Abandon the economic structure in favor of a family structure in regards to pet ownership!!
  7. The nomenclature won't change the actual offensive phenomenon, that some franchise owners (or whatever) may indeed treat/speak to players as if they are akin to property (rather than an employee).
  8. I'm firmly in the Warren camp until Sanders can actually articulate some policy beyond hopeful generalities. I'm not really worried about Warren on the campaign, from what I've seen, she's done fairly well, and has actually been climbing in the polls over the past month or so. (But at this time, we all see what we want to see).
  9. Biden's lead isn't insurmountable either. I like Sanders, but it would be interesting to see where his current votes go; the obvious guess is Warren.
  10. Give me a break. Granting access to birth control and abortion, is completely different from compelling birth control and abortion, the latter would be only eugenics. That's some really strained logic.
  11. Well this description does fit someone we all know running for President in 2020.
  12. I didn't take that as a criticism of Trump, rather part of your thrust that the lefties should have worked harder to decode it...
  13. No, you're original post made no such concession. It was a later post to Mr. Brooks where you noted that the tweet was poorly worded (which I did later quote, but it was not there that I questioned your sincerity). TPM's article is just fine. They reported on something that went viral and related to politics, and put it in it's appropriate context (what Trump likely meant). I just think you can't help but resort to hyperbole when you characterize how whomever you deem "the left" reacts to social phenomenon. It's not that I really care to defend any publication or any reaction really, but rather I find the irony not at all subtle and worth pointing out that your reaction to a reaction you deem inappropriate is totally outsized and hyperbolic.
  14. Oh shifting the goal posts, eh? It's the commentators, not the publication? Look, the President's tweets are news, even if they are largely trivial, but your faux-outrage at the reporting of his ill-conceived tweet seems like the out-sized reaction from my part.
  15. Here's that incendiary article from TPM you must be referring to, where most of the copy is spent acknowledging what he probably meant. Calling TPM an anger factory is akin to calling Fox News a place of respite. Clearly, you don't read the publication.
  16. How'd did you manage to marry up in class?
  17. That you call into question people's work ethic for not working to decipher the plain text of the president's tweet demonstrates your intellectual sincerity and investment in the subject at hand--though I suppose your sardonic and pedantic tone and verbosity gave away just as much. FWIW, I imagined that Trump was speaking that the moon would be a necessary leg on the way to Mars, but it doesn't make the plain text of the tweet any less hilarious or unnerving. He may not be the moron we think him to be in this tweet, but he's a very poor writer/communicator nonetheless.
  18. https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1137051097955102720 Ummm.
  19. I'm all about politicians changing their views, but Biden caved pretty quickly to the point that I'm not sure he authentically held the previous view in the first place. I want politicians to change their views because they are convinced they were wrong to hold them, not because of the prevailing political winds. Biden's choice seems like the latter even if he couches in access to healthcare rhetoric.
  20. I guess good for him. Although I agree with the outcome of his flipping, this does suggest there is no there-there with Biden, and he's something of an affable husk of democratic establishment politics.
  21. https://twitter.com/Toure/status/1136272561237647360
  22. Yeah, I haven't gone back, and been rewatching Deadwood instead to prepare for the new feature length thingy.
  23. I hope he gets exposed during the debates; low-information democrats just don't know what he stands for.
