As long as Thomas is productive, let Hicks regain his hitting stroke in Rochester.

Rochester now has an interesting group of starters. De Vries, Hendriks, Worley, Pedro Hernandez, Andrew Albers and now Logan Darnell. If the Twins have a hope for the near future, it will come from these guys.

Let Morneau play out the year and hope he will sign a reasonable contract. He's still got some good years left in him.

If Hicks doesn't hit well in AAA, there is no reason to bring him back to the Twins. Thomas is doing fine (for now).

Until Thomas stops hitting and/or Hicks starts hitting, I suggest that the Twins keep Hicks in AAA and keep Thomas in CF. Right now, he's the one player that I give 100% attention to, when he is at bat. Joe gets another single. Ho Hum. Morneau doesn't hit a homer. Willingham, Plouffe and Doumit are maddeningly inconsistent. When Arcia comes to bat, I start smiling in anticipation.

I was thinking they might let him throw about 160 innings. Isn't that what Strasburg had when they shut him down ? Now we can watch him. We can compare his outtings to the other Twins starters. We can see for ourselves what he's got. That is what I am looking forward to.

Buxton looks like a stud, hits like a stud and fields like a stud. He's earned his promotion. Let's see if he is a stud in High-A.

For all of you that think Gibson is going to pitch like an Ace, you are going to be very disappointed. I would be overjoyed if Gibson pitched as well, and got the kind of results that Diamond did in 2012. and we will only have him for 10 to 12 outings, due to the pitch limit. Rookie starting pitchers almost always are inconsistent.

I like Dozier's defense. He makes some difficult plays look routine. This season is not even half completed. Lets see what his batting line looks like after 162 games.

I'm not surprised. I expected a .500 record. I didn't expect them to reach .500 in this way. So much has gone wrong, this year, it seems, yet they still stay in the .500 range. I am actually beginning to feel hopeful for the team.

Bert isn't going anywhere. 100 games a year is about right for him. In the meantime we get experience a variety of sidekicks for Dick.

It is not the money being spent but the wisdom of how it is being spent. This years FA players were not worth major investments. There were no pitchers that were proven top class starters except Grienke and he has proved unreliable. It would have been irresponsible to invest large sums of cash on Grienke, Sanchez etc. All teams must suffer down years. The Twins pitchers all collapsed at the same time. Thats bad luck. Now we have some terrific young ballplayers rising from our farm system. This year was not the time to be spending a bunch of money on mediocre pitchers. And besides, this years Twins are interesting so far.
