    The front office lost me today. After nearly 2 years in charge the team has an old back up catcher playing 1B, Grossman with his .700 ops as cleanup hitter and dh and Fields for whatever reason being on the team at all. 2 years to turn this around and that's the kind of garbage we have to watch. Luckily today I took a nap and missed most of it. The TV guys are going no room for Buxton with Cave playing so well, could Cave play LF instead of Field? Guess not. Could Buxton play LF better than Field? Guess not. This is garbage piled on top of garbage. Somebody should get fired!

    If he comes up and hits .175 the extra year of control seems meaningless.

    Joe was a great player at one time but that that was many years ago. If this team is serious about building a strong post season team it won't waste a roster spot on a 36 year old part time replacement level player. Time to move on and get serious about building the future of this team.

    Carew left because of racist things Calvin said and money. It took Joe nearly 600 more at bats to get those hits compared to Carew. Carew had a .334 ave with the Twins (12 years) compared to Joe's .306 (15 years).

    Polanco is not a good fielding SS so move him to 2B and sign and good fielding SS.

    I hope they go after Iglesias to play short and move Polanco to 2B. He is a better fielder and hits ok and he likely won't be real expensive. Plus he's much younger then Forsythe.

    I'd much prefer they sign Iglesias and move Polanco to 2B. Strong no to resigning Forsythe.

    If Austin is out of options next spring he should be up now. Let LoMo go, who is more likely to be on the team next year?

    Until they produce in the bigs or are traded for a quality big league player it doesn't mean much. Most future stars turn out not to be.

    Wilson Ramos and Matt Garza turned out ok.

    You kind of have to see how he pitches before you can find a fit. Not every pitcher comes ready sometimes it takes time..

    I mentioned Sano for Realmuto yesterday. You only get a year plus with Realmuto compared to 3yrs plus with Sano. That might even out the value a little. I doubt Sano has a great deal of value right now except to a team like the Marlins who aren't trying to win and can wait for him to hopefully build back some value before flipping him. A serious contender needs a real catcher. Out of the box idea is to sign Matt Capps and trade him to the Rays for Ramos

    Realmuto gets my vote. If they want to be a serious contender get serious. Garver is a backup at this point his D is backup level and Wilson is a 3rd stringer, imo. Heck trade Sano for him, he can't stay on the field anyway. Doesn't do any good on ir all the time.
