  1. Jays beat the Indians on a Goins walk off HR. 5-3 final. CBU
  2. Same exact location Duffey got screwed on. Screw you ump.
  3. I could only find 2 and 3 lol
  4. Sigh. Torii HAS to get that. Come back soon Hicksie.
  5. CBU Twins 4, Pale Hose 3 after 5.
  6. A bunch were fairly close, probably a few could have been called either way.
  7. If I'm not mistaken.....that's the 1st runner the Twins have walked in this season.
  8. Come on Duffsie...let's find that control.
  9. That pitch was closer than the pitch Hunter struck out looking on earlier.
  10. Meet Jamie Hersch at 1 PM at the fair.......this doesn't sound like a bad day at the fair.
  11. Lol...Sale with zero muscle mass. All tendons and ligaments. We got jokes on the broadcast tonight.
  12. Eso-Bear sounds like quit the entertainer
  13. This Duffey kid is growing on me
  14. Third time someone has been called out looking. Plouffe's in 1st was certainly low too.
  15. Scoreboard watching: Rays 8 - 0 over Orioles - Mid 5 Jays 2-1 over Indians - Bottom 6 Yanks 2-1 over Red Sahx - Bottom 6
  16. I'd love to hear the discussion that led to him becoming the GM. "Let's get Hawk in here!" "The TV guy?" "Yeah, he makes good points on the show!" "But...he has no experience, what makes you think this is a good idea at all? We have that kid Dombrowski we have been grooming for almost a decade now." "WHO? Give me HAWK!" Or...that's how I like to imagine it going.
  17. You have to look beyond one year as well. This offseason is probably when Plouffe's value will be the highest. A full year of control left and a lot more options than at the deadline when it comes to potential suitors. If you wait until the deadline they are going to have to hope the right situation comes along to make a deal, or potentially take less in return. If they do hang on to all year, now you are looking at a multi year extension to a guy who just turned 30. If they hang on to him they have a lot of time to ponder whether the step back in defense transitioning to Sano is worth getting a guy like Vargas/Arcia/Kepler in lineup to replace Plouffe's bat in the lineup. If indeed one steps up, they missed out on acquiring assets for Plouffe in a trade, but having him next year would be a really nice failsafe if all 3 of the options above fail. Either way it's going to be easy decision, and based on time on this board, won't be a popular decision either way they go with it.
  18. Player to announcer to GM and back to announcer. Strange. Not the best 1-year stint.
  19. And there's no evidence he won't be called up some point this year. Just because it's not Sept 1st, doesn't meant it will be never. I read a post on here regarding his current slump and the AA playoffs are coming up, two fine reasons to keep him down.
  20. I don't see the harm. Vargas hits for Zuke in the 7th, we go to extras, Hunter pinch hits for Herrmann in the 10th, and Fryer can catch. It might not happen, but why not carry that extra C? Calling up Fryer isn't stopping them from calling up an additional bat as well. For all the talk of bad roster management, NOT having a 3rd catcher in September is just that.
  21. A 3rd catcher gives the team flexibility with pinch hitting options. You wouldn't have to see Herrmann or Fryer with a late inning AB because they could be pinch hit for and still have the other on the bench to catch the next inning.
  22. If they stay close in the division, I would imagine them both trying to win the division instead of resting their aces and having one of them being content with WC.
  23. Crazy what a week can do huh? O's go 1-6 and the Indians went 5-1
