  1. 2 wins and 3 losses during these recent starts, while averaging 2 runs scored per game, with Drew "contributing" about a .250 OPS to that "offense."
  2. Jumping excitement > Not jumping excitement
  3. Awesome Drew, a runner on third with less than two outs, and you strikeout on three balls. Edit: bailed out by Carroll.
  4. Off to a good start, for what it's worth. Awfully brave walking out on that limb.
  5. This post is the worse.
  6. Curiosity ensues... First 28 plate appearances this season for the Son of Sal: .909 OPS, 3bb/2so Last 27: .345 OPS, 1bb/8so In 2011 he had a 29 PA stretch with a 1.009 OPS. In 2010 he had a 39 PA stretch with an .887 OPS.
  7. No, not really. The only difference between this year, and the previous years, is that he had a spurt of good games right away rather than hidden somewhere in the middle.

  11. Literally and figuratively.
  12. Plouffe's SLG% over the last 3 weeks (.788) is higher than the OPS of anyone on the team not named Mauer or Willingham.
  13. There's a quota on the usage of "no comment?" Who knew!
  14. We need an admin to rename this thread "Fun with Numbers 2012."
  15. Line breaks are overrated. The Strib blogs don't support them, why should we?
  16. No, that's what the middle aged folk call it. The kids call it an "egregious strawman."
  17. That picture is one of my all-time favorites.
  18. Yup, that was a pretty lousy job of editing on my part.
  19. You can throw me in the "routinely forget to check the "articles" sub-forum" group." I'd prefer to see the threads for minor league specific articles appear in the minor league forum, the threads for Twins articles in the Twins forum, etc, with preference given to the primary Twins forum for anything that has cross-content.
  20. What he said. ^^^^
  21. No, drawing any conclusions whatsoever from a sample size that incredibly small and completely meaningless would be irresponsible.
