    You can worry about super-2 if you want, but I sure as hell won't. The way the payroll is heading it won't make a lick of difference if he gets an additional year of arb.

    Two weeks is all it takes to ensure that it doesn't happen, an awfully small price to pay for a bit of additional security. There's nothing stopping you from getting that extra year of control AND signing them later on if everything works out.

    I'd take a healthy Capps at $1 mil over Burnett any day. Burnett has an option available too, send him to AAA, bring him back if/when Capps craps or gets traded.

    I've got to hand it to the Twins front office, they're apparently the only team in the history of free agency that's been capable of keeping every single quality free agent offer a secret. They're special, and every free agent hates Minnesota, it's the only reasonable conclusion.

    Nonsense, the Twins have an embarrassment of pitching depth. Or was it that the pitching depth is an embarrassment? I get confused sometimes.

    His velocity to start the year was 87-ish, his velocity after coming back toward the end of the year was 86-ish.

    Or the much more likely reason, they simply didn't make the offers in the first place. The Twins are rarely, if ever, rumored to be in discussions with high end free agents. And we have quotes straight from the brass saying they will not "overpay" for pitching.

    An elephant would have trouble remembering all of the mutating variations of your comments. Every time they get challenged they morph into something different in order for you to avoid having to admit that you were wrong about something. I eagerly await your claims of being personally attacked (yet again), while hypocritically being the one throwing around the insults.
