    Any possibility they move Jeremias to the infield? His frame certainly looks like it could be worth a try. Of course I don't know much about him and I doubt anyone else does.

    They should have done it right away. 'Resting' never works. When will he be back now? 2015?! He falls off the prospect map and should be in the 25-35 range now.

    I think it's a great idea. If the requirements are a little more casual then I'd love to join! The biggest problem I've had with blogging here is with embedding images. I'd like to know more about how I can get them to 'work' if I was to write more.

    More often than not, the spite you see is directed toward 'established' members on the site. A person with more posts is usually more susceptible to arguments because people "know" where they stand on everything. thrylos is one of those that gets an earful since he likes to debate and takes a different stance than most on many topics.

    A power reliever and a low level arm who has room to grow for an August/September of guy we weren't going to re-sign anyway. It also freed up space for other outfielders to join the team. I don't know how anyone can criticize Bill Smith there. Coming from you I'm really not surprised though. You are my least favorite poster on here after all.

    Why should we sign starting pitchers? 1. Diamond 2. Devries 3. Walters 4. Deduno 5. Blackburn Looks good to me. Lots of sexy names already.

    Please get rid of TR. Gardy is an icon so I don't mind him . I'd like to have a younger GM who has new school ways. The Twins should dig through the Rays and Pirates organizations for some different management. The Twins NEED fresh faces going forward.

    Never mind. I see reasons to why you did what you did. I do think Hauser may deserve an inclusion. Guiterrez, Thielbar, Tonkin, Hermsen, and Albers are too high. Minier and Mata are too low. I think Arcia should be "Low". You didn't give any prospects safe or low and I think Herrmann, Arcia, and Gibson would all be close to that.

    I really like the Young trade in hindsight. 1/3 a year of him for Oliveros and Nelson is REALLY good. Should have traded him earlier of course, but Smith made a heck of a deal at the time.

    I just hope the Twins trade Denard in the offseason for something nice. This trade deadline has been awful and it's extremely painful to see them do nothing for the second year in a row.

    I like Travis Snider, but I wouldn't trade Perkins for him now. If the Twins struggled with outfield depth, I would trade Perkins for him. Minnesota just doesn't need another one in the fold especially if they don't trade Span and Willingham. Snider's biggest problem is that he strikes out too much. I think Snider will figure things out soon enough and become a good MLB player. Awesome deal for the Pirates if Lincoln regresses.

    The .091 was also a small sample size. The .324 is VERY good news and shouldn't be dismissed.

    The way he walked and how calm he looked showed confidence and prowess. That's not to say it was comforting however. Liriano always kept his head held high on the field. Frankie only revealed weakness by performance, not by expression. It was in his head where things got tricky...

    I would have loved to keep Liriano and now hope we can re-sign him because he loves the Twins. He was one of my favorite players and I won't forget attending the game where he fanned a career high 15 batters! Liriano had such great poise. I hate seeing him going to the Sox, but he has been a terrible pitcher prior to this fantastic run. Right now, there are a few pluses. His big chunk of salary is gone, we got rid of an inconsistent pitcher, and we get two.... players (couldn't find anything positive to say about them). Not a fan of the move; although, it's growing on me a little. Just wished he was pitching for any other team (except the Yanks and Tigers) so I could actually root for him.

    Of course if the Blue Jays were willing to part with Syndergard for Morneau... then we're talking.

    Liriano and Morneau are the hottest trade targets that I don't/didn't want the Twins to trade. Send off Burton (hasn't allowed a run since June 10th) and Span while they have a ton of value. Not Justin and Frankie when they are close to their career lows!!
