  1. There's nothing in either the Twins Talk or the More Baseball feeds that would suggest it. My apologies on the repetition.
  2. Ding, ding, ding! The more and more I read about Yunel Escobar the less I want him. He's an awful clubhouse guy and some of his teammate's have gone as far to say, "What will he screw up this game?" Yunel isn't a Ray, he's a Jay, but he's also a pretty trashy human being as well. I know that and they really were two separate thoughts, but I guess I see how you thought I thought that.
  3. Trout is an android and Cabrera is a cyborg.
  4. Looks like pitching Mauer away, more specifically in the Morneau flailing zone, is the way to go. Kind of ironic for a hitter who doesn't pull the ball often.

  6. I'm pulling for the Oakland A's in the AL and Cincinnati Reds in the NL. I think it'd be nice to find out what the 'back-up' teams are here. Baseball just isn't as fun when you don't have any rooting interest!
  7. I thought he was too old. He's 24, but he did start at 22 so I probably should have cut him a little more slack. I mean I did include Pugh.
  8. The 2012 minor league season is over and much will remain quiet in the prospect world for some time. A few players have "graduated" from September call-ups, but from a new standpoint here we go. Unlike last list, a lot of insight was taken from a few other Twins farm followers. This year's performance has is a critical component as is talent. Tools and the other insight as mentioned were the big factors that caused guys like Morales to rise. I know I may do these a little frequently, but just mind my obsession! 1. 10. Delmon Young is also a pretty oblivious player.
  11. Wade Miley is a great candidate for Rookie of the Year. Almost chose him, but Aoki has been fantastic.
  12. Thank you, thank you, thank you NISHIOKA!! You are a man of great honor.
  13. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_matj44Veg31rp680g.gif Did someone just say....GANGNAM STYLE!? Haha perfect #500.
  14. I agree with this. The Twins should certainly have 5 in the 100. I would add Kepler in as another fringe. A 19 year old who just showed glimpses of a fifth tool may be a tempting late add. To be a little more specific, I would hope for this: 15-25 Sano, Buxton 35-40 Hicks 60-75 Arcia, Rosario
  15. Who gets your vote for the prestigious awards given at the end of the year? AL/NL Cy Young, AL/NL MVP, AL/NL ROY, AL/NL Relief Man, and AL/NL Manager of the Year. I'll tally the votes after a week so it can be 'official'. My vote is below and an ideal ballot would look as follows. MVP AL: Miguel Cabrera NL: Ryan Braun Cy Young AL: David Price NL: Gio Gonzalez Rookie of the Year AL: Mike Trout NL: Norichika Aoki Rolaids Relief Man of the Year AL: Fernando Rodney NL: Craig Kimbrel Manager of the Year AL: Buck Showalter NL: Dusty Baker I think both relief men are obvious choices. The biggest reason I would choose Cabrera over Trout is that the Tigers will likely make the playoffs and the Angels won't. The triple crown would also add fuel to his campaign.
  16. I don't know about Buxton being faster than Revere. Maybe he is, but I could have swore Buxton ran a 5.40 60 yard dash and Revere a 5.28.
  17. If Capps is a good pitcher, Butera is a good catcher and Valencia was a good 3B and Nishioka is a good middle infielder. The Twins could have saved some money and signed one of the other half a dozen guys that got one year deals and would have had about the same pitcher. Some other team can sign him for the 2-3 million range and he can be there problem. I just hope he stays in the AL so he can pitch BP to us at the end of the game. No logic in this response at all. A 3.61 ERA (since joining the Twins) is pretty good as a reliever. He keeps runners off the bases and an excellent WHIP of 1.172 shows that. He's not elite, but really? Don't compare him to scrubs who couldn't cut it in the majors.
  18. Even a healthy Capps is not worth the $6.25m difference between the option and the buyout. Pass. Scott Baker won't get that much in 2013. Who would you rather see paid that money? Obviously he's not worth it, but he's an above average righty when healthy and a familiar option. Capps performance is not a gamble if he stays with the team. I see the Pohlad's saving money this year and think it wouldn't harm the Twins financially if they decided to pick it up. I don't mind 1 year deals for larger amounts of money. It doesn't hamper the following year with a hefty salary and for the year 2013, money won't be an issue.
  19. Capps is a good pitcher. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to taking the option. For me, the salary isn't a big issue unless it prohibits signing a free agent starting pitcher.
  20. Took and please say no to "do you drink". The last thing I'd like to see is alcohol ads on here.
  21. The one where Tosoni dressed as a flasher was also a good one.
  22. It never has occurred with me on Google Chrome.
  23. From Post #9 Who are the two on the far left? I can identify them all (Even Mastroianni behind the Police Sign) except those guys. EDIT: Looks like Parmelee on the far left. Second from the left? Fien?
  24. I think it's about a 75% chance Miguel Cabrera wins it. Mauer is the likely runner-up and the best competition to the odds. I don't believe Jeter is capable and Trout is on the downspin. Only a few games remaining so we'll have to wait and see.
