  5. Deja Vu???? The formatting looks much better. Thanks for all your work.
  6. That photo of Torii is a classic, Great stuff. Thanks for some chuckles on this cold, windy day. (And no, Halsey, I don't want to hear about 82).
  7. Per Berardino, he is out at least 5-6 days with a back issues. Says Arcia has dealt with a string of nagging injuries.
  8. And Donna Douglas,
  9. This post along with the updated story make me so deoressed I want to curl up and hide.
  10. They publish the list of conceled gun permits for our county once a year in the newspaper. Since we only have about 30,000 in the county, I usually know many of them. Some are easy to figure out -- business at night, etc.-- and some are a little puzzling. I'm just glad the list isn't longer. Fortunately we've got a fairly low crime rate.
  11. Nice article to get in the mood for Twins Caravan, Twins Fest and ST. This off-season has made me more hopeful than the previous few even if my posts don't always seem that way.
  12. You have really high hopes although he may make the AS game.
  13. You should check in to read RiverBrian's intros to gane threads -- they'll bring chuckles to your days.
  14. Thanks for the article. I'm don't think I'd have guessed that draft day was higher than Gardenhire but TD does seem to lose posters over the season. It is always interesting to see how TD changes and grows, I'm really looking forward to what happens when the Twins start winning more regularly and when more prospects are moving up.
  15. And the other 3 kids have to be traumatized -- it sounds like they were right there, Just makes me sad (and mad.)
  16. With due respect to the deceased, I will never understand this http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/2-year-old-accidentally-kills-his-mom-in-wal-mart/ar-BBhmnXx Why have a loaded gun in your purse while shopping with 4 kids in what is probably a pretty safe Wal-mart (relatively small town). I will never understand the mindset.
  17. It's also just a wish until Buxton shows us he can stay on the field and that he belongs in MLB.
  18. Thanks,Brock. The activity on the minor league threads makes me hopeful about the rejuvenation. Now if it was only March.
  19. I rem I remember trying to predict his good games based on whether it was the day after an off-day and whether he and Hicks had golfed on the off-day,
  20. In this case I think I'd rather put the balls in 3 hands instead of 1. We speak of league average as though that is a bad thing. As bad as Twins pitching has been, league average would look pretty good. I think out of the 4 likely pitchers -- Hughes, Santana, Nolasco and Gibson-- 2 will be above league average, one will be average and the other will be below average. The 5th position's performance is a crapshoot. But if this staff finishes at league average (or better yet, above average), it'll be a nice step forward,
  21. The Twins are under some pressure - financial and other - to have a winning team sooner rather than later. Not necessarily a playoff team but one that is a significant step above the embarassments of the last few years, In order to do that, TR had to upgrade the rotation.
  22. Thanks fot setting it out so clearly.
  23. I should have asked my question to Seth differently (and I can't find an edit button) -- if Pinto isn't the backup, who is?? They need more from a backup than just an emergency catcher.
  24. I don't know how much of this was TR since it was near the beginning of his cancer treatments Always sounded more like Rob Antony granting Gardy's wishes..
  25. Seth, who are your 3? Kurt, Pinto and ?????? Hermann?
