  1. So now that it's pretty much a certainty that Russia influenced this election significantly, what are the recourse's? I imagine unless they can prove Trump was involved (treason) there isn't a whole lot they can do to change the election results? Hopefully this doesn't lead to another war/conflict with Russia. Part of me thinks that America might deserve this, after decades upon decades of the US influencing other countries elections (many of which bit us and the rest of the world in the ass eventually......Iran comes to mind) we are finally getting a taste of our own medicine. On the other hand, ugh, why did it have to be THIS election...
  2. Twins have no real interest in Puig, if they were to "take him on" it would be pretty much as a salary dump. Busy day for the Dodgers for sure, I have no major updates, but I think it happens soon.
  3. No new updates yet. Source is getting impatient themselves for the deal to finalize!!
  4. Thanks Mods!
  5. Lol yes Is the wiki still alive somewhere? The dankind section was amazing as well.
  6. I like Rosario to, but like you, I think it would be foolish to pencil him in as the corner OF for this teams future at this stage.
  7. Albert Belle Julio Franco Nolan Ryan.... On a serious note: I wonder if they would give Josh Hamilton a shot?
  8. Nice minor league depth, I think we just lost a guy in the rule 5 draft as well, so this was needed.
  9. I will repost the update from Reddit shortly and will keep this thread updated as well with anything new.
  10. See that is exactly why I think Rosario would have nice value as a CF for many teams. I think he could hit enough to be at least "average" for a MLB CF, and could handle the defense at least average as well. An "average" MLB CF has a ton of value IMO. Just doesn't hit enough to be a corner OF type, especially on a team that frankly isn't getting any power currently from: 1B/DH/SS/C and even the other corner OF spot (Kepler) isn't a 30 HR guy now as well. If Mauer was smacking 25 a year behind the dish or something, we had Ortiz at DH hitting 40 dongs, Kepler was hitting 30 and Dozier (who likely will be traded) hitting 40, then we could survive with a guy like Rosario in LF, but at this stage? we need a guy with pop, plain and simple.
  11. Video from the last time Nick and I hung out, which I think was at Twins legend Frankie Rodriguez's club/bar?
  12. Oh also any tricks or tips would be great as well!
  13. Going to get the old man a smoker for Christmas. For someone that would be a beginner at smoking mostly meats and salmon, what is a good one to purchase? -I would like it to be electric/temp controlled type, where it doesn't need you to be constantly messing with it. -Would like to keep the price somewhat reasonable if possible: $500-$1000. That 2500:1 Twins winning the world series bet didn't happen Thanks!
  14. Well said. I'm not trying to rag on the guy as Santana probably has a spot with several other ogs at this stage of his career, but for a rebuilding team like the Twins? Absolutely not. It would be like trading for Butera at this stage: Good backup for a contending team Pointless backup for a rebuilding team If that makes sense?
  15. I can't believe Danny Santana is still on the roster or even an option, I think he literally was one of the worst 2 or 3 position players in baseball the last 2 years or so. Storen would be a good get IMO.
  16. I appreciate the support, I really do. But honestly it's all good at this point! Like I said if this trade doesn't happen I will face the music like the nostradumbass that I really am and we will have fun with it. Personally, like I mentioned in another thread, if I ran the team I would actually be looking to extend Dozier a couple years, he could be a real nice piece of the core moving forward IMO and he is my third favorite current Twin behind Mauer and Perkins. Anyways, let's not derail this thread, but I do appreciate the kind words, even from a baseball bat! lol
  17. I would be on board with this, as I see Kepler winning that "competition" in a landslide. Joey Bats would be a fantastic signing.
  18. Of course other GMs know it/see it, I just think it would be wise to move on now. Rosario still has decent value as a CF which teams could use (cubs???) but zero value as a corner OF IMO.
  19. Yeah I think season ticket sales are going to be BRUTAL this season. The sales team have their jobs cut out for them.
  20. Good article! I also would prefer not to trade Dozier at this stage, I think he is just hitting his early peak now and that the Twins should lock him up for the future. Additionally if you must trade him, I would prefer that they waited til the deadline when they could demand a Urias types Unfortunately though, it's clear he won't be a Twin for much longer
  21. Lol yeah someone on Reddit deleted it! Lame! Still on meaning it's close, dodgers have made a "final offer" but who knows what that even means, final offers have even been known to change from time to time.
  22. Not digging my heels in, just relaying what my source (who is very credible and has been cleared with one owner and one mod) is saying. That's all!
  23. It's very realistic to only face lefties in the scenario I provided above. Or at least 95% of the time when it's a close game.
  24. Yeah, honestly I don't get how someone can take an obvious LOOGY and try to turn them into a guy who can pitch against anyone, especially in 2016/2017! It's one thing if the Twins are losing by 3-4 runs and you don't want to destroy the pen, but under no circumstances should O'Rourke be facing righties if it's a 1-2 run game (either way) O'Rourke has the opp to be one of the elite LOOGY's in baseball, at worst he can net us a decent haul if we trade him and at best he can be a key cog in a contending Twins team bullpen
