Would prob need to lock it down in the next 5-6 days so gifts could be sent prior to X-Mas (or shortly there after) Figure we keep it simple: $15 max Can be Twins related gift or something completely random that you think the poster you draw would like. I'd be more than happy to help organize (or someone else if you don't trust me with your mailing addresses...muhahaha) I think we should look into it if we get 10+ people interested, could be a fun thing during a slow time of the year. People can then post what they got to this thread and we can see what was given out. Cool? p.s nobody better send me any Torii Hunter products!

Very nice, this thread is a fun trip down memory lane as well! Whizzinator is an all time great Minnesota sports story, it's no love boat, but its close! Yeah, it's fun to be tipped stuff once in a while, especially when you are a big sports fan. Speaking of the love boat, I found out that it now resides in Okoboji Iowa (I have a lot of family in Okoboji) I want to rent it out some day.

I told you to do it man! J/K, hindsight 20/20 etc Nvidia has been one of my bigger "wins" stock wise in a long long time, so I am enjoying this wave. I just wish I had more balls and would have put more into it, unfortunately these damn weddings don't pay for themselves My Marijuana stocks unfortunately have leveled off a bit, a lot of question marks up in the air at this stage. I'd recommend continuing to invest in any energy/oil companies as well over the next couple months. Bitcoin still continuing to rise, still time to jump on that train, I'd bet that it hits $900 in the next 60 days.

Yeah, like I mentioned before, sometimes sources are wrong, ESPN biffed it big time the other day when they were reporting Sale to the Nationals was a done deal, they also biffed it with Herman to LSU being a done deal (college football) I'm still very confident this comes through very soon, if not? Meh, I will take the "heat" and make my source buy me my next beer when I see him or her! I know this is anecdotal evidence, but I knew about the Cam Newton "discipline for not wearing a tie" about 30 minutes before it was even reported. One of the benefits of spending over a decade in the sports business world I suppose Not bragging or anything (though it may come off like that) it's just fun to share some of these tidbits from time to time with friends or my friends here at Twinsdaily.

Thanks! It's been a fun thread at the very least, even though I have gotten a couple nasty private messages from people...which is weird, it's just baseball and its JUST a trade, some people take things a little to seriously. Just to set things straight: I was called an attention whore in the message by a member who I won't mention. This isn't the case at all, I have a legit source, I have messaged background on the source to Brock and another Mod at this point, if they think I'm full of it or something they can feel free to lock the thread/ban me or whatever. I'm not looking to "make a name" for myself or anything of the sort, I don't have a blog I'm trying to promote, I don't even have a twitter! If someone gets this upset over a thread on a message board I would suggest they calm down a bit, or just ignore the thread as a whole! Plenty of other things to read on the internet or even this site as a whole! To the 99% of you who are being cool, nice and having a good time, thanks! Either way no matter when the trade goes down, it's been a nice distraction the last day or so!

I would to, in a heartbeat, it would be a great buy low candidate who if he comes back to form could be flipped for a monster deal at the deadline or in the future at the very least. I do question how Puig would fit in on a 100+ loss team though, and Minneapolis is certainly no LA. Still I think the risk would be well worth the reward, but Falvey and co not wanting a possible headache is understandable.

Good post. My two cents: Santana might be a lot of teams plans B/C, so I could see him getting dealt later in the off season? Or during the season.

Yes, it sounds like the Twins hang up is they still want better prospects as part 3/4 of the trade. Where as the Dodgers seem to be trying to give them some low upside guys who would be non tendered eventually anyways (think Pat Dean level) Guys like that aren't terrible to take back in trades, but the Twins know they are in full rebuild mode, they don't care if a guy can provide 1.0 WAR in 2017, its about finding a guy who could have a chance (even if its small) to be a 3.0-5.0 WAR player in 2020 or so.

Just to recap everything that I know: -Trade is imminent apparently. It missed the 24 hour cutoff, but could happen at any moment. -No significant second piece will be sent from the Twins side (no major league talent, maybe a toss in non prospect though) -Puig, Lux, Urias all off the table. Lux could ultimately be put back in, but the odds are close to nil. Twins have less than zero interest in Puig, likely they would ask for Dodgers to take a bad contract in return, Dodgers have no interest since there are other teams around the league interested in Puig straight up.

Yeah as I mentioned a page or two ago, source said that they have a good shot to complete it this evening/night and at least a 95% chance tomorrow. I sort of wonder if those 4,555 trades the Twins made in the rule V draft delayed things a bit? Anyways, stay tuned!
