Something like 88% of men who beat their spouse and get caught for it have been repeat offenders (even if they aren't "caught" again) Getting a DUI is a mistake. Getting in a bar fight is a mistake. Doing drugs is a mistake. Beating your spouse is not a mistake and is downright despicable. I don't want a wife beating #5 on this roster. That is for sure.

I'm not going to get to upset about Myers, the dude is a wife beater (only above rapist in my book) and just isn't a very good pitcher. Of course I would rather the Twins not give Correia 2 yeasr/10 million, but we really need to let that go at some point. I still want them to bring in Marcum though.

Haha. Don't respond to the troll next time , I do like how he is playing the "blame the media!" card though. Also for the record Hunter was never my long lost hero, I stopped idolizing athletes as "heros" sometime around my 14th birthday or so.

Its the same reason why I don't care to have a discussion with a west boro church member. I am all about hearing people out on 99% of topics, but something like blatant bigotry etc? Pass. Saw enough of that bull**** when I lived in SC, Texas and Oklahoma.

Fact: hunter is a douche bag and a bigot. Fact: not one person is talking about taking away his right to free speech. Sad fact: there are clearly a good number of homophobic people on twins daily. Hopefully these people are over the age of 50 and just don't want to change or whatever at this point. Anyone under the age of 35 or so who is homophobic for ANY reason including religion or "hey those queers can just keep quiet, and dont deserve the same rights a us"is a complete and utter idiot and most likely a bigot as well. I have very little desire to have any sorta of "discussion" with the latter.

Actually the Catholic Church I currently attend recognizes gay marriages (not sure if they perform them or not). In addition it allows our priest to marry and is pro birth control. If someone says "I don't like gay people because my warped view of my religion tells me to" is not Ok IMO and is just a lame cop out to be a bigot

Just look at the Vikings, nobody expected them to even sniff the playoffs, yet a couple key acquisitions and improved play has brought them into the playoffs. Now I am not saying the Twins will do the same thing, and I am FAR from happy with this current roster, but at the end of the day you never know. (Though it would be nice to get a Marcum type as well)

"People see dark faces out there, and the perception is that they're African-American. They're not us. They're impostors. Even people I know come up and say: 'Hey, what color is Vladimir Guerrero? Is he a black player?' I say, 'Come on, he's Dominican. He's not black.' ... As African-American players, we have a theory that baseball can go get an imitator and pass them off as us. It's like they had to get some kind of dark faces, so they go to the Dominican or Venezuela because you can get them cheaper. It's like, 'Why should I get this kid from the South Side of Chicago and have Scott Boras represent him and pay him $5 million when you can get a Dominican guy for a bag of chips?' ... I'm telling you, it's sad." Not exactly Hunters first umm..ill advised bigoted public comment...

Heh, yeah. As much as we can talk **** on Ponder (for which there is many) the kid came up HUGGGGE in about 4 of 5 3rd and longs, and the one long pass he threw was right on the money. If we stay healthy and play like we did today...dare I say we can hang with anyone? -
I will give credit to the Tigers though, they did get rid of an Anti Semite OF and brought in an old homophobic one. Change takes time I suppose.

Beat Green Bay at home today and outplayed em, we outplayed em in Green Bay as well bust lost to a couple stupid turnovers. As the playoffs shape up now we play: @ Green Bay then @ Atlanta Am I crazy to think we actually have a shot to win both of those games?
