  1. T-Mobile sucks. The $100 "Free" MLB.TV account would be about $3,000 short in what it would take for me to ever go back to that crappy company.
  2. Sano hitting third? I thought traditionally your best hitter hit third, not your fattest?
  3. http://www.tradingcardcentral.com/images/news/2005/10/07_001_001.jpg rookie year
  4. Are you a doctor/expert or nutritionist? First off: 25% is basically obese, which Sano is not. Second off: I sit between 11% and 13% BF. I can assure you not everyone in the 10-15% range is approaching six pack territory, all people and their bodies are different as well. I too make a terrible OF as well If Ryan said he is 15% why wouldn't you take him at his word on that?
  5. Do you have personal knowledge about Jordan, Kobe, Peterson and Sano's "Drive/work ethic" first hand? Or is this all mostly baseless conjecture.
  6. Is this game going to happen? Rain looks to be in the forecast quite a bit. Maybe a delayed start by a few hours?
  7. Saying he will put up a .700-.800 OPS is a little misleading. Likely you are looking at a guy who will stick in the .820-.860 range moving forward (if he doesn't improve) however he still is fully capable of a .900 + OPS year this year as well. Also Fielder is significantly "fatter" than Sano anyways. Just compare the two players (hell even compare them at age 22 if you want) Sano is also 6 foot 4, while Fielder is 5 foot 11. Height matters quite a bit when you are talking about weight.
  8. Why on earth are you comparing a baseball player with a couple of basketball players and a football player? Coincidentally enough Jordan (Gambling, banned from basketball), Bryant (Rape), Peterson (beat the hell out of his kid) all have significant character issues, while Sano has done nothing wrong, yet our media (and some of our fans) like to tear the kid down.
  9. You do realize that Fielder has been one of the more healthy players in all of baseball, right? The 5 years prior to his first major injury he missed exactly ONE game in those 5 years.
  10. Not all athletes are created equal/require an equal set of skills/body type. If you are talking about a soccer player, then yes, Sano at 15% is probably a bit too high, ditto if you are talking about him running a marathon competitively. if you are talking about a QB in football he would be fine. If we were expecting 30 SB a year from Sano that would be a concern, but of course his game is power with a great eye at the plate to boot.
  11. Good info. If 15% is his number, than that places him right on the edge of being in the "ideal" bodyfat range for a male adult (21-25). He isn't fat by any means, or really not even close, once that number hits 20% then color me a tad bit concerned (but even then if he is performing, who gives a damn?)
  12. ****ing Chokealahoma
  13. From what I know about Sano, maturity isn't an issue at all, he is more mature than most guys a decade older than him. How he handled adversity and tragedy is something we can all learn from. Class act, all the way. I hope he not only hits 600+ bombs, but makes 400+ million in his career.
  14. This will be a fun thread to bump every time Sano hits a 450+ foot bomb while maintaining a 900 OPS+
  15. Yeah good points all around. I admit I am a homer in regards to Hield, I think he helps fix this teams largest hole which is 3 pt shooting, now I think that Mitchell and his crappy game plan are a huge reason why the Wolves don't take a lot of 3's, however Hield becomes a guy you have to let take 3's. On another note: What are the odds that the T Pups can bring in Hoiberg to coach the team? I think Chicago may be willing to give him up.
  16. This times 1,000. This isn't exactly an Eli Manning or Johnny Manziel situation where the guy grew up with every single advantage in the world. Sano was born into a situation/poverty that frankly the majority of people can't understand/relate too. He worked innnnnccredibly hard to get where he has. He has done all the right things thus far, both on and off the field, he has overcome multiple tough situations and hasn't complained once. And yet people are ready to throw that all away because he is according to them "Too lazy to lose 10 pounds", while not even acknowledging that perhaps he really isn't able to lose 10 pounds (since he is still growing) without sacrificing power. Would you rather have a Sano that is 270lbs and hits 40 HR, or a Sano who is 255 lbs, loses a bit of muscle power (30 HR) but maybe is able to leg out one more double?
  17. Yeah I agree, public sector jobs: police, teachers, firemen, etc should NOT have unionsX
  18. The poor and lower middle class tend to be less educated/less intelligent overall, so thus the GOP is able to paint a picture of boogeymen such as (welfare, liberals, Muslims, Mexicans, abortion, gay marriage) are the reasons why their lives aren't that great. How anyone barely making ends meat can think that unions are evil are just mind blowing.
  19. Ha (Note: I am only making this post so it bumps to the top of forum)
  20. This is so oddly such a Minnesota thing, we love to tear down and find flaws with our greatest players. It's sorta like "THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS!"
