  1. I know SWR is starting to come into his own too, but right now I'd have him behind all 3 of Zebby, Abel and Bradley in some order. It's tough with him being out of options though. Hopefully Ober can show his velocity is back above 90 and frankly pushing 92. Otherwise the 3 (Zebby/Bradley/Abel) I'd very much put ahead of how Ober looked like in 2025. They'll all get innings this year, no doubt. But these guys have some really fun stuff.
  2. I'll 2nd this. Even if not on opening day he looks like he could help at some point.
  3. I'm all for it, even if 2026 or 2027 isn't a huge winning window. Pablo is the type of personality you want to keep around.
  4. I think adding Littell wouldn’t hurt. If everything works out perfect and the young guys are throwing well, he has also done long relief before. Beyond that, the other names you listed I’m not certain are upgrades. Giolito is I THINK, but the others I don’t know. I am excited to see the young pitching overall in the rotation. Also, just generally, if they truly were thinking of Festa as a starting option I think that was naive at best
  5. If they trade Larnach and have Martin in the outfield to start the year, then carrying 3 catchers won’t be a problem to start. And frankly, with how much Caratini will play at other positions, I don’t see it as an issue at least right away
  6. I’m all for getting value for Larnach now. I think he actually could still carve out another 3ish years in mlb. I just don’t think he is the right fit for the Twins in 2026 in their outfield. If they could flip him for a current reliever, great. Otherwise if it is someone who won’t be ready until 2028 but they see something, then I’m good with that too. Seattle makes sense. Houston too. Probably another 7-8 teams also make sense. Basically I wish him well
  7. Based solely on how they've looked this spring, I'm open to the idea of Martin and Roden both starting over Larnach and Wallner. But we'll see how the rest of this plays out. Caratini is obviously on the team, and Kreidler's defense at SS really looks impressive even though he can't hit. After that, I hope they are still looking for upgrades.
  8. Martin should start the year in the outfield. Larnach should be moved. The others I agree with
  9. Wagaman has options though which doesn’t hurt. Not that I think Urshela makes the team. Just saying.
  10. I don't think an OF opening necessarily does that either.
  11. That's definitely the inkling I have too in many ways. It FEELS like Donovan Solano again, where we didn't see a fit at the start of the year and then he played a LOT. If Clemens stays and earns his spot all year, and keeps it with the younger guys coming up, well that means he is probably performing well right? I still think there are other moves to come. I can't imagine Larnach and Wallner and Clemens all make the opening day roster. I suppose I could be wrong here.
  12. Then I'd be curious what you think helps the team more; 1) Larnach is the primary DH vs. righties, so that means Bell is your 1B option along with Caratini. 2) Bell is the primary DH vs righties, so that means Clemens is your 1B option along with Caratini. Basically, IF Larnach is on the team as the DH, then in my opinion that makes Clemens' role completely just as a backup. And once Rodriguez or Jenkins or Roden or others are ready then other moves HAVE to be made right?
  13. Barring health obviously, I'm still curious if Clemens truly has a firm grasp on the position on opening day. Is his glove truly good enough to hold off and keep Bell has the primary dh and Caratini solely as the backup catcher? I have my doubts there. If Bell and Caratini are kind of your primary 1b that keeps DH as rotating and allows for more bats in the lineup? I mean, am I missing something? Clemens' baseball savant page certainly has more red it in than I would have expected, but is he truly still a starter on this team?
  14. I can't see any way that he is in the rotation opening day. Zebby and Abel both have looked good so far and he is still ramping up. I still think he fits in best in the pen, but I get why they would want to build him up slowly and then hopefully get to the 3-4 innings pitched mark by the end of spring. Still, some time in AAA to start the year to learn the cadence of being in the bullpen and getting ready to pitch in relief makes a lot of sense to me.
  15. I like this a lot, and I also really think Caratini can be used like Donovan Solano to an extent. Some catching, but some 1b and some dh too. That does leave room for a decent backup/3rd catcher.
  16. I agree with this. I know he's a good clubhouse guy, but his path to real playing time certainly wasn't helped by them signing Caratini.
  17. I think Larnach still gets traded, leaving Martin as a sure fit. After that, Outman, Kreidler or Arcia, and even Alex Jackson could all fit. Curious if they make any other moves this spring.
  18. Awesome! Enjoy!
  19. Do you really think the Twins are unique in terms of taking starters who can’t make the jump to major league starting successfully and transitioning them to the bullpen?
  20. Real games start 3/26/26. Lots of time between now and then. That's all
  21. The Taylor Rogers and Brent Rooker for Chris Paddack trade happened on 4/7/22, and all reporting out there states the Twins still want a SS and at least one more right handed reliever. Frankly with losing Pablo I almost expect another starter to potentially now be added too. So no, I don't think the time to add players prior to opening day is in any sense done.
  22. I think they still bring in another arm to bump either Funderburk or Adams back to St. Paul. I also think there is a CHANCE that Liam Hendriks could bump one of them anyway. I mean, if they already have Rogers AND Chafin AND Banda, is Funderburk really making the team opening day? Also, with that, the train from St. Paul to Minneapolis will run hot this year I'd imagine for the bullpen again.
