Top Gun

34 is prime time!

Then we got the wavier wire for pick ups. It's all good it's the Ryan way.

Now is the time to let Florimon & Dozier play them selfs off the team for good.

It's up to spring training alot to set your back up pitching and your bench,

Before Shaun Marcum signed a one-year contract with the Mets on Friday, he had talks with both the Rangers and Mariners. This would seem to indicate that both squads are still in the market for a starting pitcher. The Rangers indicated on Thursday that they aren't pursuing Kyle Lohse, widely regarded as the top free agent starter remaining on the market. Related: Mariners, Rangers, Kyle Lohse

Ryan just wants to show the fans who is boss, Dumb Twins fans.

It's still January wait 2 months and then decide.

The Twins have discussed a plan to limit Kyle Gibson to between 130 and 140 innings during the 2013 season as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery. The 25-year-old right-hander says that he'll do whatever the Twins ask of him, but that his goal is to get to the big leagues as soon as possible. Twins GM Terry Ryan indicated that they may utilize a plan similar to how the Braves used Kris Medlen last season, where he began the year in the bullpen, and then transitioned to the rotation after the all-star break. Major League Baseball is investigating the age of Cuban shortstop Aledmys Diaz. Diaz presented the birthdate of January 8, 1990 to the MLB, but the official roster that the Cuban National team used in July has him listed as August 1, 1991. While many international players lie about their ages to appear older, it may benefit Diaz to be a year older, as a 23-year-old he would be exempt from the 2012-2013 international bonus pools. If the MLB rules that he has falsified his age, he may be subject to a penalty of being unable to sign for one year. Source: BaseballAmerica.com

Mets signed RHP Shaun Marcum to a one-year, $4 million contract. He'll have a chance to earn $2 million more through incentives. The deal was reported Thursday, but Marcum passing a physical was no formality after he dealt with elbow issues last season. The right-hander posted a 3.70 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 7.9 K/9 in 124 innings last year for the Brewers and should give the Mets some solid innings if he can remain healthy.

Sounds like something Ryan would do.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Carl Pavano will be sidelined 6-8 weeks after suffering a ruptured spleen when he slipped and fell while shoveling snow on his driveway. Well, that sounds about right for the oft-injured right-hander. Pavano had been set to sign somewhere soon to compete for a rotation spot, but teams will likely wait until he's healthy now. The Rockies and Mets were among the clubs that had shown interest in the veteran. Pavano is coming off a 2012 season where he posted a 6.00 ERA and dealt with shoulder issues.

It's a pretty fair trade for me. Pitching is expensive and Ahmed is great SS prospect that is hard to find.

Ryan bites the hand that feeds him, The Season Ticket Holders!

When I say ace, It meant ace of the Twins like Worley or Diamond. Not far off to think Marcum could even be better than them.

What if Marcum turns out to be great. The Twins could have resign him to be the ace long term, Now he is lost forever. You have to invest in a good pitcher when that is what you need so badly.

It's hard to get excited about the Twins, when it's plain to be seen that the F.O. isn't even trying to put a major league team on the field.

Delmon will be ok. Have another great season Delmon.

Sounds like Ryan is already starting to pass the buck.

Do they Twins have a chance to play 500? Maybe if they had sign Bedard. Astros signed LHP Erik Bedard to a minor league contract. It's a nice low-risk move for the Astros, who could spin Bedard for a prospect at the trade deadline if he gets off to a decent start. The veteran lefty posted a 3.12 ERA over his first 10 outings in 2012 for the Pirates before falling apart. He was released by Pittsburgh in August.

Looks like crap to me. Nothin but hype and unproven, not even half a team, 2013 looks better than that. Day Dreamer!

Stan was one of the greatest I have ever seen.

At least Butera can pitch, we need that.
