  1. I happened to talk to 2 of the Beloit board members regarding next year with the Twins. Both of them told me the same story, the Twins have told Beloit that they did not intend to sign a new PDC until after the season, and that they planned on keeping Beloit as a fallback option. In Beloit it is well known that the Twins and Beloit have not been on the same page over the last year. Apparently Beloit has wanted the Twins to kick in more money for a new stadium. For what it is worth, the Twins and Beloit are un-likely to re up for next year unless something dramatic changes.
  2. HERE COMES THE WOW FACTOR!!!!
  3. Should go to E-Town, Romy to Beloit, and maybe Wang Wei up...or cut
  4. He has a wicked delivery, and a very odd release point.
  5. Being from Milwaukee I can add a few pieces in. Garza is likely not to be traded because of injury, Cole Hamels extension helps out the Brewers as well taking the best Lefty off the market, Miami's enormous asking price on Josh Johnson is scaring teams away. It looks like the Brewers will be in for nice package from greinke.
  6. I think Rosario is the yes in System, Hitting 300 for pretty much all of the year, Home Runs are down but his RBI production is still up. I think ideally he has the potential to be a good hitter right behind the clean up man in the majors, just because he needs other people to get on base in front of him first instead of leading off innings.
  7. Zack Jones has the potential to be a future closer. His fastball tops out at 99, and he has a slider that is decent, yet still a work in progress. He just needs to develop a change up or a curveball to keep them honest. He struck out the side in the the 8th inning on Monday, and only through 2 sliders, rest were fastballs that hit 95-99. Definitley worth keeping your eye on him. One of the Scouts there even said that he should be in High A, if he was in their organization......
  8. Duluth's closest drive would be 6 hours....that is not happening. The Midwest league is perfectly set up, so no reason to change it (other than affiliate change)
  9. The only thing that is un realistic about bring a team to St.Paul is that the closest drive for them would be 4.5 hours to cedar rapids. Most drives in the MWL divisions are close to 3 hours. Also, It would take a while for the MILB to declare a city unsuitable for minor league baseball. Beloit is getting renovations after next year (even then it will still be the worst stadium in the MWL), and Burlington is a good stadium. It takes around 4 years to move a team to a new location and get rid of a previous one.

  11. No he is not, even Keith Law said in his chats that the first guy in this years draft would have been picked 7th or 8th in last years. Lets not start over rating our prospects here....
  12. Thing about Sano is that he has a good arm, so f If they decide that 3rd isn't the spot for him I think they have to move him to Right Field and see if he could manage RF every day before considering to move him to 1st.
  13. I think Buxton is fairly comparable to Bubba Starling talent wise, and a lot more advanced than Hicks was ever thought to be. I could see Buxton coming to class A in June or July next year (similar to Hicks timeline) just so they can get him through Extended and make sure that he is ready.
  14. I hate it how slow the Twins are with their upper Echelon MILB/young signee prep talent. Here are a few examples of similar upside to Buxton over the last few years. These were all top 5 picks, Buxton will likely reach A ball to start 2014 if the Twins continue to keep players for 2 years in E-Town/GCL (Kepler Goodrum) and likely Boyd and Harrison Manny Machado Drafted in 2010 made A Ball debut in 2011 Tim Beckham Drafted in 2008 made A ball debut in 2009 Mike Moustakas Drafted in 2007 made A ball debut in 2008 Josh Vitters Drafted in 2007 made A ball debut in 2009 (played 4 games in A ball in 2008)
  15. Fastball tops out at 92-93, Changeup is around 85 with a slider close to 87. I can easily say that he has had the best command in the Midwest league this last year. The movement on the slider is what makes his repetoir.
  16. Lol, all you have to do is look at trends, and the Boyd and Harrison info I herd from 2 of the top guys in charge of the twins organization .
  17. speaking or road trips,I just got done with a 6 day roadtrip, and start another one next weekend. Sunday June 10 in Appleton for Beloit vs Appleton Monday June 11 in Appleton for Beloit vs Appleton Tuesday June 12 in Des Moines for Omaha vs Iowa Wednesday June 13 in Des Moines for Omaha vs Iowa Thursday June 14 in Beloit for Peoria vs Beloit Friday June 15 in Beloit for Burlington vs Beloit My next one looks like this Sunday June 24th Beloit in Cedar Rapids 2:05 Monday June 25th Round Rock in Des Moines 12:05 Tuesday June 26th Round Rock in Des Moines 12:05 ****Wednesday June 27th in Kane County Beloit at Kane County at 11****** I may go to this game under proper circumstances, it is still being debated Friday June 29th Peoria @ Appleton 7:05 (brother has college testing near Appleton) Saturday June 30th in Beloit for clinton at Beloit. Sunday in Milwaukee 7/1 Monday in Beloit 7/2 Tuesday in Beloit 7/3
  18. There should be a few spots open in Beloit in the second half after promotions, guys I suspect that will be promoted are: Michael Tonkin Matt Koch Clint Dempster A.J. Achter Steven Gruver and I have a feeling after Rosario recovers from his injury, they will leave him in Ft.Myers like they did with Arcia last year.
  19. I have herd that Boyd, Harrison,Mata and possibly Polanco will likely be in E-Town for 2 years, similar to Goodrum and Kepler. Anyone expecting to see Harrison, or Boyd in Beloit next year will not likely see them until next August at the earliest.
  20. I can't believe people actually care about the ASG
  21. Niko will be in Beloit next year to start, and Max will be here early in May
  22. Once he is cleared to play I wouldnt be surprised to see him just stay in Fort Myers after Rehab.
  23. From a perspective a Brewers fan.... We won the Greinke trade no doubt, Odorizzi may be a stud in the majors but he will not be able to match what Greinke has done. Jefress is an ok reliever,Lorenzo Cain isn't ****, and and Escobar is a servicable short stop without a bat. The Sabathia trade for Laporta/Brantley is also a success, Laporta hasn't amounted to ****. The trade that screwed the Brewers was trading Lawrie for Marcum, I was against it at the time and I still am correct.
  24. was at today's game....tough pill to swollow
  25. The one bright side about the attendance is at least Burlington has led the MWL for lowest attendance the last 20 years.......
