  1. Reading that certainly implies that the notion Deduno start the season on the DL is pretty unlikely. Unless some new injury occurs.
  2. My best guess is that with Albers gone, he's insurance in case Diamond is waived and claimed. Perhaps cut-rate insurance. Perhaps not. They have a few lefties now.
  3. He was just too polite to say it was the beans.
  4. There's a lot of good books out there, too.
  5. Why does this headline have "Bennie and the Jets" playing in my head?
  6. If it's one of those deals where he can opt out if he isn't called up by a certain date, we may yet get another chance.
  7. And now the first replay. How exciting! Wake up the ump in the truck.
  8. Maybe you should call directly. Otherwise it will still be second-hand information.
  9. Secretariat wins again. I really like Hicks as a centerfielder. But the difference is palpable.
  10. They all threw baseballs repititively.
  11. And Stuart Turner now catching.
  12. And that's not E. T. A. Hoffmann.
  13. Well at the moment Provus and Gladden are trying to figure out who the BoSox subs are.
  14. "Buxton on his horse." His horse is named Secretariat.
  15. I'd certainly rather see the efforts directed towards Johan, but I suppose the scouts can probably sweat and chew gum concurrently.
  16. Hicks looking pretty darn good in center.
  17. My only real concern here is that he manages his weight and stays in condition during the rehab period. Since pitchers often come back stronger after TJ I don't fret about the arm. More the legs.
  18. Looking forward to seeing Mauer back in action. Also, Hicks, Suzuki, and Vargas.
  19. If you think ligaments are stupid wait until you get to meet arthritic joints. IQ's of amoebae.
  20. I vote for svirfneblin.
  21. Paul Molitor. At least he will be able to counsel Miguel during his rehab.
  22. And put it in an urn.
  23. Especially when you start numbering the chickens and putting them in urns. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelvefold_way
