  1. A happy post. If you're feeling overwhelmed and anxious today, remember that this is Leland Melvin's official NASA picture. And Happy Groundhog Day.
  2. Stupid arrogant SOB.
  3. And for the many of you who don't live in Minnesota, search for 'March for Science (your state)' in your search engine of choice, and you should get the list of resources available there. If you don't enter a state you will get the main page for the Washington, D.C. event.
  4. Below is the link to the website for the Minnesota (local) March for Science to coincide with the national march in D.C. to be held April 22nd - Earth Day. Details are just coming together. There is an active Facebook page which I'll be happy to invite interested people to. There are doctors, lawyers, biological, social, and physical scientists, engineers, historians and other people who believe critical thinking is one of the best tools we can muster. Please consider joining in. With rational thinking in some serious peril around this nation, we figure it's time to say 'enough of this stuff.' Goals: The March for Science is a diverse, nonpartisan group that defends and celebrates publicly funded and publicly accessible science as a foundation of American freedom and prosperity. Science guides nearly every aspect of our lives and it is critical that political leaders and policymakers support scientific research and incorporate science into their decision making. https://www.mnsciencemarch.com Thanks!
  5. I still find Caligula to be a good equivalent.
  6. So, he still doesn't know who Frederick Douglass was. Certainly not what he stood for.
  7. I could get into a great deal of trouble here, but instead will take the high road and say 'Sure.'
  8. The Como Park Zoo tells me this is National Serpent Day. Certainly sounds fitting.
  9. This just keeps on getting better, Theocrats ++ http://www.chronicle.com/article/Jerry-Falwell-Jr-Says-He-Will/239062/
  10. Close, but not quite.
  11. Use Spam instead.
  12. Riverbrian, I believe.
  13. I also find it curious that these men are outed just after Bannon gets access to classified U.S. intelligence briefings. But that's a little too '3 Days of the Condor-ish' even for my suspicious mind. Or is it?
  14. Heard on the BBC this morning that the Russians have arrested 2 of their top cybersecurity officials, charging them with treason for collaborating with the CIA. Curious timing, that.
  15. Do one with Bannon, please.
  16. Gorsuch.
  17. Hahahaha! It even has a Minnesota reference. http://www.newyorker.com/humor/borowitz-report/scientists-baffled-by-mcconnell-and-ryans-ability-to-stand-upright-without-spines
  18. Peace, baby.
  19. Good. Now go educate some. -- DeVos just got confirmed by the Senate, so good luck with that.
  20. Including this company, which I believe is a little familiar to diehardtwinsfan. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-immigration-microsoft-idUSKBN15E2IY
  21. Don't know how many have seen this little item. If passed, this is likely to have the opposite effect of driving high tech companies, particularly startups, elsewhere. http://www.msn.com/en-in/news/newsindia/h-1b-visa-bill-introduced-in-us-minimum-pay-more-than-doubled/ar-AAmrdMz?ocid=sf
  22. He's waiting for Bannon to tell him what to do next.
