  1. Everything is just slower in the cold. At least, I think I heard that somewhere.
  2. Yeah, well I have to be up at the crack of noon tomorrow.
  3. Welp, no way I'm making it through the full game, on East Coast time. I may conk out at any time.
  4. That's California math for ya!
  5. Shivering, in Rochester same as he would be in MSP. He's hitting .500 for the season. That's a 1.000 OPS if my California math is right. Bring him up!
  6. That was quite a launch angle by Morrison. 89.5 degrees?
  7. Yes, it's time to start worrying. Actually I got a head start a while ago when the initial reports on his progress weren't glowing.
  8. This actually happens more often than you would expect. No, wait... checking... this happens exactly as often as you would expect.
  9. Not to mention worst case of inability to judge people.
  10. I see 92 on the teevee radar display. / And yeah, I missed that RB ninja'd me many minutes before I even thought to post.
  11. In our house it's the other way around. 75 in summer, 68 in winter. (64 at night, except our bedroom is unavoidably colder than the rest of the house so it's probably closer to 60.)
  12. Aaron Slegers got off to an effective beginning to 2018, holding Syracuse to 1 run on 5 hits and 1 walk plus a HBP, in 6 innings of work. He needed only 66 pitches to do the job, 49 of them strikes. The only real blemish on the afternoon's work, from a scouting perspective, is a solitary strikeout against Chiefs batters. (I hope USAFChief wasn't a factor in this.) The other unfortunate feature of the game, which was outside of his influence, is that the Red Wings' bats were quiet too, and a ninth-inning run against Tyler Duffey wound up deciding the game 2-1.
  13. I See What You Did There http://weatherblog.kshb.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Blog311.jpg
  14. Ironically I've been humming that very song since this thread was posted.
  15. There is a difference between irony and simple white lies, I now realize.
  16. I literally died LOLing at your observation.
  17. Ironically, the word was right there in the title.
  18. It's one of those details that nobody can possibly be expected to remember.
  19. You're going to have to.
  20. Well-known semiotics professor Alanis Morissette did an interesting treatise on the topic as her PhD thesis, back in the day. I know everyone gets it, I'm just posting this ironically.

  22. A nice regular feature to add to the lineup.
  23. So you're heading to your local megacasino to put down a prop bet on Eddie Rosario in game 1 of 2019? Get in line, buddy.
