  1. I threw up on my future wife on our first date, but she's not from Stevens Point.
  2. Line of the week.
  3. A team beats itself tonight and it isn't the Minnesota Twins. That's the way I like it. / uh huh, uh huh
  4. You swing with 0 strikes if it's a pitch you like. Not a pitch the pitcher meant to throw. That's going to skew the results. To me, a swing-and-a-miss on a first pitch would be the one to question, though of course now and then it'll happen.
  5. And 10 percent meat.
  6. Never heard of it, just looked it up on a map. It can not be a good sign when your downtown is located at the corner of 330th St NW and 120th St NW in some county.
  7. Nosebleed seats behind home plate, or anything up there in either direction really, has the nice view out on the water that shows off the park at its best. Tickets are pretty expensive, but they sell out so obviously they know their market. Our son had also seen the Twins in San Diego, and had that as a (very low) baseline to compare with. Saturday's game was the classic "not as close as the score would indicate", as the Pinto homer in the ninth to break up the shutout didn't leave anybody at the park thinking the win for the home team was in real jeopardy. Twins did better in the field than the Giants this particular game, and Deduno was less wild and crazy (and also less fast) than I expected/remembered, but it still was about as decisive as any 2-1 win can be.
  8. Who's to say the worm won't turn the other way, and the Twins start to score a bit more and put these games out of reach, and even snag an extra win by a close margin?
  9. Don Mossi is still alive and should go into hiding until Olivo is behind bars.
  10. "And why no kudos to the Twins for correct talent evaluation?" Oh yeah, that'd be a reason.
  11. Apparently he didn't believe he belonged in Albuquerque. Well, he'll surely get his wish now.
  12. We have the lead so we're all hoping that.
  13. Bi-lateral knee bumness!
  14. (You really didn't tonight either,* but) in the play-by-play it'll read that way. * Scooped by Chief
  15. Way to leg out that home run over the wall, Zuke!
  16. Smith's gonna hear from the kangaroo court tomorrow afternoon.
  17. [video=youtube;fTHL0MAWkmY]
  18. I think I can un-banninate myself after that one.
  19. I did what you see there.
  20. Neither could I so I went there. Bye, everybody!
  21. Pfff. Pedro's got twice as many as that clown. More than twice as many.
  22. Not really an expert on men's groins so I'll have to defer to you.
  23. I wasn't getting my hopes up. Correia rarely pitches no-hitters. When's the last time he even had one, anyway?
  24. Poor Brian, too. He was evidently eaten by that thing prenatally.
