  1. Yeah, ligaments never turn out to be long-term problems.
  2. A tidily managed 6th inning. Only 3 more of these to go.
  3. Game's not quite close enough to bring in our big gun, Chief.
  4. Yeah, you'd think he'd be shower-fresh.
  5. Pair of baserunners, unfortunately.
  6. "Old Josh Donaldson had a bomb..."
  7. May tagged for a 3-run homer by Donaldson. 4-4, still in the top of the fifth. CBU.
  8. E0: manager was caught napping
  9. The multiplication and long division was too much for me so I cheated and used a computer. Fahrenheit's tough.
  10. That one was hit right into the shift. Molitor = GENIUS.
  11. 5.54E+01 in Fahrenheit. It's no wonder people have switched away from it; too much multiplication and long division.
  12. That's how it works. At least, for 84% of the cases.
  13. That's 2.0 runs per inning for Minnesota, and 0.5 runs for Toronto, for those of you who keep score in Metric.
  14. Boy, Colabello is smooth out there in left field. And by smooth I mean in a zigzaggy way.
  15. We can expect a regression to the mean by the middle innings.
  16. And hanging chads.
  17. After a fairly nice April, batting .260 with a sprinkling of extra base hits to give him an OPS of .649, I'm sorry to say Tyler has kind of hit the skids in May. His overall performance thus has his BA just below .200 and his OPS isn't good at .516. He struck out 29 times in his 141 plate appearances. He has hit righties a little better than those numbers, but so far this season he has been absolutely slaughtered by left-handed pitching. His past 6 games have been better, with a batting average of .292 across 24 AB, including a couple of doubles and only 4 strikeouts. Here's hoping this means he's turned a corner and will have a good season from here on out.
  18. Tyler Kuresa Born: November 17, 1992 (age 22 this season) Birthplace: Roseville, California Drafted 2014 in the 16th round (#470 overall) School: University of California, Santa Barbara Height: 6' 3" Weight: 190 Position: First Base Bats: Left Throws: Left http://ucsbgauchos.com/sports/m-basebl/2012-13/photos/Tyler_Kuresa_006.jpg Tyler is your prototypical first baseman: tall, lefty, hits with power, and as a nice bonus he takes pride in his defense. He hit well at Elizabethton after being drafted, with a .298 BA supported with 21 walks, 14 doubles and 5 HR in 189 plate appearances in the short-season Appalachian League. The OPS was a solid .859. Tyler is assigned to full-season single-A Cedar Rapids for 2015. http://www.milb.com/images/592478/t492/180x270/592478.jpg
  19. I have some thoughts on Tyler and probably should have already taken him. I'll do it.
  20. You mean besides the drastic drop in walks, so far. The lone double and lone HR is pretty much all that saves his mighty .240 BA from being an empty one.
  21. I would like to see Keith Law interview Greg Popovich in some kind of Iron Cage Death Match. The topic of the interview can be anything - Tea Party politics, the relative merits of Catholicism versus Islam, gender equality, the Spurs' early exit in the playoffs this year, or why SABRmetrics is a fraud. Just so long as someone is likely to be dismissive to the other, and there is no tapping out. http://i.ytimg.com/vi/SdMSzDrloiM/maxresdefault.jpg
  22. He's rather good.
