  1. On mlb.tv there are issues as well. It's a problem everywhere, apparently. Man, I love Byron Buxton. And Correa too. They're both amazing.
  2. Hey, I like Pagán when he is getting K's like this!
  3. Buck is just looking brutal today (and of late). Wonder if the Twins wouldn't be better of just putting him on the IL until he gets healthy again. This isn't doing him or the Twins any favors. Of course, the rest of the Twins (minus Luis) isn't helping today. That Polanco AB was atrocious. Come on Polo, you can do better!
  4. Wow, one of the smoother innings Pagán has thrown in a while. ? Interesting what Bremer said about his splitter grip.
  5. Man, the Twins' plate appearances are looking awful. Tons of weak grounders or flyballs, not hitting anything hard. Hope they get going offensively.
  6. He is definitely not playing at 100%, that's why he is sitting so often. That knee injury from a few weeks ago is still bothering him. An article in the Strib yesterday called it right knee patella tendinitis, I believe.
  7. What the hell was that? Don't see Buck miss a ball like that very often. And of course it costs the Twins immediately. Damn.
  8. Joe Smith is a magician. No other explanation for his continued success with that 85 mph "fastball". Now let's hope the Twins score some runs because Pagán is apparently getting the 9th... ?
  9. So good to see Kep going oppo occasionally. Why did it take until now to teach him that? And Gary is just money right now.
  10. While I am very much in favor of robo umps, I'm gonna miss those crazy frame jobs by Ryan Jeffers.
  11. Apologies. I should have known better. Sorry, Joe. They will just have to extend the lead again. That's not a great way to do it, though. Man, I hate double plays when the Twins hit into one.
  12. Yeah, Carlos needed every inch of his 6'4" there. ? Great play.
  13. The fine old art of small ball... ? Always great to have a two-run lead, in any fashion. Don't see too many sac bunts from the Twins, though.
  14. That was a big chase by Dozier. Wow. I'm just happy to watch Ryan again. So much fun.
  15. .477, including today. Perfectly sustainable, I'd say. ?
  16. Agree. Great play to tag the runner there instead of throwing to 2nd. And then a good throw for the double play.
  17. Yikes, neither team is really shining on defense today...
  18. Man, I don't like how Gray looks so far. Not hitting his spots like he usually does and worse, he has left a few hangers over the plate. But at least the damage has been limited and the offense already got three runs. Now get a few more!
  19. I swear, if the Twins lose this game I will think of that horrible call and wonder what could have been. Over the course of an entire season, bad calls even out but in a single game they can absolutely kill you when coming in crucial situations like this. That's why robo umps are desperately needed.
  20. No, but there sure are some comments here that seem to insinuate that they're sick of waiting for Buxton. And yeah, that would be nice, but what's the alternative to the current situation? Any suggestions?
  21. Predictably, the Buxton haters come crawling out of their holes at the first opportunity again. Yeah, it's sucks that he is not in the lineup. The 2/3 of the time he is in he is still the best player on the team. But apparently, some people would rather have no Buck at all and Celestino the entire year as your starting center fielder. Because I guarantee you, there is not exactly a huge amount of star center fielders out there that are just waiting to sign with the Twins at a price they can afford. Which is exactly what Buxton did, so stop hating.
  22. Great analysis! I really like what Celestino has been doing so far, filling in all over the outfield and providing some offense too. Very helpful for the Twins.
  23. Celly, on the other hand, is fun to watch!
  24. Watching AK hit right now is painful, because you know how good he could be and because it feels so unlikely right now that he will reach that ceiling with his damaged wrists.
  25. While I don't mind doing that (4-3 Twins after 5 innings): wouldn't it be easier to just open Gameday? Btw, blackouts in Maine don't make sense.
