  1. You mean like Billy traded the unneeded Ramos when they had Mauer locked up?
  2. Nishi's here to play. Gardy said it.
  3. They'll have to pay out the contract - somewhere between between ML min and $1mm/yr. But it's better than the complete waste of cash that they have now.
  4. This is clearly being done to give him a little time at the ML level to show what he's worth and then swap him Valencia style for something else. I believe this is JR's version of cleaning house, and it's not all bad. Clear out some of these guys occupying space that could use a change of scenery and get prospects in exchange.
  5. As long as I have to listen to Soucheray bitch about stuff like flashlights and starting the lawn mower in the garage, 1500 will never be a sports station. WCCO could do the same thing they do in a heartbeat.
  6. Pretty much everything in this post is right. PA is awful, unlistenable, and any other adjective that means bad. Common is the best thing going on radio today. Power Trip is only OK when Rosey is on.
  7. 1. Allow beer bought on the plaza in a team cup to be brought into the gate. That would sell more beer, because I have walked past it several times and waited until I got closer to my seat to buy one. 2. Switch the damn paper towel dispensers from those tension ones to ones that actually work. 3. Put a scoreboard up that shows the lineup that is one the field, instead of just the lineup that is batting. There are others but that's all that comes to mind right now.
  8. It was 830 when you were little. They just went to ****ty 1500 a few years ago.
  9. Serious question. Do they know who can hear the games where? I literally can't pick up the game or pre/post game for that matter in my house because of the interference at that frequency. As I said I lose it half the time driving around in the SW suburbs, too. It's seems unreal to me that a local baseball team would be on a frequency that is that unreliable in a metro area. As was pointed out before, this was a huge benefit to the low frequency WCCO frequency back in the day.
  10. That sucks. This team can be so Bush League sometimes.
  11. High frequency AM sucks in a metro area. I can't get it half the time between Eden Prairie and Shakopee. This would be a huge improvement for the local area, and everyone else is on the radio network anyway, so it wouldn't make a difference to them.
  12. Hrbek was supposed to put his foot on it. Too slow on the pickup there.
  13. He was a baby anyway.
  14. I will say one thing. I go to a lot of games, and used to sit right by Placenta when he was up last time. His whole demeanor on the field has changed. He doesn't puff his little chest out quite as much, he doesn't check the video board as much, and he seems to run a little more upright back and forth to and from the dugout. I think he will be sure not to say or do anything to piss anyone off this time around.
  15. Diamond - Loose Hangnail. Will go on DL in two weeks and have Tommy John next March 30.
  16. Success of the photo of the week thread > Gray dan > Gray
  17. 1) Wrong 2) Wrong Gardy isn't a good manager and he burns bullpens like nobody's business. DPJ
  18. Rondell White > Jeff Gray Gardy's managin.'>....OK let's not get carried away
  19. If they do nothing, put Gardy on waivers and see if anyone will claim him.
  20. Blackburn: 3.2 IP, 12 H 12 ER 4 HR 9BB 0K
  21. Now listed as Tuesday night's probable starter against Blackie. This could be a high scoring affair.
  22. Adding and subtracting. You are hereby circled!
  23. Yeah, interestingly Floyd is still listed as the probable for today, and the White Sox are here Monday, so I am guessing he stays home today and joins the club tomorrow here in Minnesota.
