Apparently it makes you a realist, while anyone who might offer a positive opinion is a naive fool.

That's a stretch, I don't get the impression the majority of posters are naively believing we have a great team. Actually my post illustrates how much more this team really needs besides quality starting pitching. As LEN III pointed out in the Strib, Twins starters have gone 6+ innings in 6 of the last 7 games and the team is 2-5 during that time. Thinking that all we need to do is shore up the rotation is the proverbial finger in the dike.
  3. twinsnorth49
That would explain a whole lot.

Amazing that they have this huge infrastructure aimed at identifying and developing talent and all they really need to do is check into Twins Daily for what to do. They could save a ton of money if they only knew this.

Huh? Where do you come up with this stuff? Just saying starting pitching has been the hot button issue all season and it's a damn shame that we've had a few quality starts lately and found other ways to lose games. We remain very much sellers in my mind, if I need to categorically state that.
  6. twinsnorth49
For all the moaning about the SP, we sure have blown a few decent starts as of late.
  7. twinsnorth49
Well this is turning out awesome!!
  8. twinsnorth49
    Oh for F***s sake!!!!!
  9. twinsnorth49
Not if that means he'll be playing in a Twins uniform again.
  10. twinsnorth49
I like Carroll but I would take any kind of prospect and the salary for him faster than I could say deal.
  11. twinsnorth49
Is anybody else thinking that DeVries is doing the opposite of bad? That's the best I could do without putting on the jinx.
  12. twinsnorth49
    I like baseball.......but I like ladies more.
  13. twinsnorth49
I'm not sugarcoating it, you're right it was awful,I just felt it wasn't reason to think he's going to revert back to pre bullpen Frankie.
  14. twinsnorth49
Was that Mornie slapping a sharp double against a lefty? He can't do that!!!!
  15. twinsnorth49
    Can't touch this!!!!!!
  16. twinsnorth49
seconded, I'll add lame as well.

I concur, he gave up the 3 big shots and wasn't locating well to say the least but it wasn't like he had no clue where the strike zone was, unlike earlier in the year. I think he remains interesting considering the needs of some teams and who is still out there.

I couldn't agree with this more, people can criticize Ryan for seemingly not making as big a difference as some would like but I do believe he will put this team back to a competitive state with a clear direction and purpose. Smith was winging it.

Is there a spare one in your Mom's basement, or do you and your sister share the same one?
  20. twinsnorth49
Cheers RB, too much negativity for awhile, I love when guys try to prove you're wrong about liking something. I'm a baseball fan and especially a Twins fan, in the big picture there is lots of good discussion here, you just have to filter out the crap.
  21. twinsnorth49
Meant the idea, not the person, let's say shortsighted, is that better?
  22. twinsnorth49
Followed by a kick to the nads, so stupid it hurts, yet strangely I can't look away.
  23. twinsnorth49
Don't let the door hit you on the way out. I mean that figuratively, not literally by the way.
  24. twinsnorth49
So much for that throwing harder theory. His location is way more key to his success, when's he got his two seamer running low and away it sets up his slider, the rest is gravy.

Not even sure what this means but to think Morneau can't be effective again is foolhardy. If Morneau has to go (which would kill me) it has to be for players of the future.
