  1. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-sick007.gif......do I have to choose?
  2. Thank Christ, http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-dance017.gif
  3. 1. I've never argued a single "fact" you brought up, stop being defensive. 2. I never said anything about the "facts", just the 1000 words it took to state them.....again.
  4. That's what I thought you meant, I'm all for trading away replacement level guys for low A maybe's, never stated anywhere that I wasn't. Not sure where Jason Frasor fits in with that plan.
  5. What, no congratulating yourself as well? Unlike you.
  6. I'll assume I'm one of the others, as I've been called out before. I am in no way trying to silence your's or anyone else's frustration, we just have a few degrees of separation on what makes us frustrated and how we express it. Not signing the likes of Jason Frasor and Sean West really doesn't make me anymore bothered than I already am. I get your point about what you feel it represents but for me it's more of a pick your battles type of scenario, not one really worth getting too worked up about.
  7. Yes, you're right, I missed what you meant, I agree the last part is likely the way it will and should go.
  8. Plouffe was on the bench because Gardy was still allowing Valencia to figure it out, another young player not benched at the first sign of trouble. Secondly, neither Dozier or Plouffe were benched at the first signs of trouble, Dozier struggled most of the time and was arguably given more rope than he should have been, for his own benefit. Plouffe went through a number of rough spots after his hot June and largely due to injury to be fair, but he was not benched because of struggling. I don't see how those two serve as good examples of what you're referring to.
  9. I said Mastro, right there in the first sentence. You're right, no advantage to waiting on Benson, just a disadvantage if he plays anything like he did previously.
  10. Quite the opposite, it amuses the hell out of me, why do you think I keep coming here? I would have hated to grade college papers for some people around here, the title would have been 500 words.
  11. Yeah, it's a bit early for all the vitriol in my view, however slim the chances that things might change. I'll remain hopeful, you can remain cynical, it's your right.
  12. Someone asked me to show them where a diatribe was earlier......exhibit A.
  13. The view that not signing Jason Frasor isn't a big deal equates to "pie-in-the-sky" nonsense? The frustrated viewpoint would have changed if we had signed Frasor? Signing him or not really doesn't change anything, that's the point, it's pretty meh. I'm discouraged as well, with or without Frasor, if they do nothing else I'll be downright depressed.
  14. Well if you take the meaning of the word diatribe to mean "a bitter criticism", in a rather long, drawn out fashion, this thread is rife with them. I'm not lecturing anyone, merely pointing out that perhaps you need to chill over something as innocuous as this really is in the big picture. I'm not attacking your 1st amendment rights to express whatever frustration you are entitled to, just suggesting that in this instance it all seems a bit over the top in trying to prove a much repeated, one directional point of view.
  15. Book it that they start the season with Mastro and bring up Hicks or Benson in late May or June, like it or not, unless Hicks rips it up similar to Hughes last Spring.
  16. Neither were any of the asinine assumptions and theories as to why the Twins didn't sign Jason Frasor. I can understand getting genuinely worked up about not signing someone who actually might matter, Marcum, Jackson et al, but these diatribes start to really erode credibility in trying to prove how inept the Twins FO is. The big picture isn't looking too good right now, I think we all agree, but this shouldn't really be all that lather inducing as a part of that picture, it's pretty bloody minor.
  17. I've got to side with going with the best 5, that may change from time to time at the back end but taking away starts from your top 3, whoever they might be, isn't giving you your best shot of winning. I'm also not sure how going with a six man rotation saves your bullpen with less arms available.
  18. You use that phrase waaaaay to much.
  19. Wow, every response from you is like some kind of personal manifesto.
  20. That's way too much feigned outrage on not signing Jason Frasor.
  21. They won't lose as many games as last year, view that any way you choose.
  22. You're trying way to hard to sound smart.
  23. http://www.websmileys.com/sm/crazy/1056.gif To 364 more days of head scratching posts!
  24. I don't think T.R. is setting up Gardy to fail, in fact I think that notion is ridiculous considering Ryan's principles. Having said that I don't think Gardy is in the plans beyond this year with the focus of the team clearly being the future. What I will find interesting is how Ryan may deal with that if somehow Gardy manages to get this team around .500. A record in and around there would have to be considered a pretty big success and the exit strategy conceivably altered.
