    Started again around 12:30 and has been an on again off again problem since then. Right now, in this thread, all I can see is diehards post and your latest reply, you reply shows up horizontal and his is vertical. Currently using Firefox. Can't get into any other threads beyond the first post on each page......weird!

    Happens to me all the time, I'm using Windows 7 Premium and it happens with both Firefox and Chrome. What happens? does it load the header and then stop there? Does it happen more often during certain times of day? It always loads the list of threads in a particular section, ie Twins Talk or On the Farm but when you click on a thread it only shows the initial post and no others. You have to hit refresh, sometimes as much as 5 times to get it to load further. I haven't determined whether it's dependent on the time of day or not, it's been totally fine today so far.

    Get off the soapbox! That offer is insulting to Sanchez and his agent, since it is at least 33% less then even close to market value for him. Dollar amount doesn't matter, let's say you know your fair market value as a blogger is $50,000 a year, if someone gave you a serious offer to write for their website for $20,000 would you not feel insulted?     He gave that money back to the owners because he, rightfully, wasn't going to give Cuddyer at least 3/30, so he signed Willingham for what Cuddyer should have been worth and came out ahead. Would giving Cuddyer 3/31.5 have made you happier than signing Willingham?

    I'd rather live with the ultimate realities that 2013 will be bringing, focus on 2014 and beyond and not get locked into a 35 year old pitcher like Dempster for 3 years. About the only plus would be him somehow pitching well enough to flip him for a prospect to a contending team at the deadline in 2014. Don't see that happening.

    Seems as if Buerhle's Pit Bull problem has followed him across the border, this time however the ban on the dog covers the entire province of Ontario, making it very unlikely his family will be able to join him in TO this year. Considering he's under contract for 3 more years, seems to me he'll be on the move again, since It's hard to imagine he'll be a happy camper living apart from his family for 3 seasons.

    If Ryan had made this move at the trade deadline everybody would have lauded it, to get a relatively high ceiling pitching prospect for a guy like Span is more than acceptable and is an appropriate direction to take. The two biggest needs identified by the majority of posters here are either major league ready starting pitching and starting pitching depth on the farm, seems to me TR just helped to address the latter and he addressed it from a position of organizational depth. To categorize this as a salary dump is just taking the extreme cynical view. To profess these types of moves are necessary for the team to move forward and criticize Ryan for not having the foresight to make them, only to turn around and accuse him of dumping salary when he does, is at best disingenuous. Unless you just want to be one of those who see fit to convince themselves that Meyers will ultimately be a bust, I don't see the problem with this move.

    No, but I've thought about looking into it, if only for my own sanity. Whew, I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. I'd pay a membership fee for that feature! That and a "blowhard" warning.

    C'mon be honest, we're ok settling for this? Everybody here wanted him on the first train out of town this summer but now we're alright with him being back because, why? Because the Cubs signed Baker and Feldman? This is what is making things so urgent? I'd rather find out if someone else sucks than be sure of it with Frankie.

    If Hendriks has a strong spring he gets the nod before Deduno or Walters and likely Devries. I have faith he can put it together to be a reliable starter, he has the pitches, he just needs to stop nibbling and throw strikes to get ahead of hitters. His best start of the year was his 3 hit, complete game against the Mariners and that's exactly what he did, it allowed him to mix it up and get guys off his fastball.

    I waited 16 years for my hockey team to come back, and now they're gone again, have no use for the NFL and I support the Gophers. I'm probably the most patient fan the Twins could ask for. Great article.

    It's amazing to me how you can forget how utterly useless he has been in between his brief bouts with "brilliance" over the last 3 years. His legitimate talent is in far too short supply.

    The Yankees had 10 different SS on opening day between Dent and Jeter. Any team would have built around a guy like Jeter, for as long as they could afford to, it wasn't something particularly shrewd of the Yankees, they just finally got the right player.
