  1. I know, I watched him for years, he wasn't the pitcher of record in the rest of those games. But as long as your furthering the point, wow 858 games, that's a pretty darn good career!
  2. Wow, Hough played in 432 MLB games where he factored into the decision......curious.
  3. They opened the 2013 season more than once? What did I miss?
  4. Gardy!!!!!!!! Whoooo Whoooo!!!!
  5. Atta way Gardy!! Only 73 more and you might have a shot a 1100.
  6. The first is right, the second is wrong.
  7. Maybe it's just a matter of what's more plausible, I mean Arcia hurting a hammy? That would involve running.
  8. What's a color? Isn't gray just Americans trying to spell grey? (:
  9. Perhaps he has a, it's going to be 36 degrees today kind of sore wrist?
  10. Grey Goose is good vodka, I've never heard of Gray Duck......doesn't sound very appealing.
  11. Agreed, I think they are just as irrelevant.
  12. I think this is a legitimate concern, although I won't get too concerned about it unless it happens again tomorrow.
  13. Partly agree, but the players do have something to do with it as well.
  14. What I've learned is that some people feel 2 games might be a touch early to believe anything and that people's definition of bad is slightly different......
  15. Only 2 games back of the division lead and a wild card spot! Teams blow good performances by a starting pitcher all the time, bad teams just do it more often. How 'bout that Hicks fella eh?
  16. Can't we just just come up with something better than calling something stupid? By it's definition stupid is a derogatory term, I get calling a spade a spade and everything but using a word like stupid tends to lead to things spiraling out of control because of it's insulting nature. From a moderation standpoint it's really just trying to protect the forums from becoming a place where people just hurl insults back and forth and calling things stupid usually starts that ball rolling, it's best to stop it before it gathers any steam.
  17. But aren't the hometown fans the ones who buy tickets to the games, watch the local broadcasts and are the ones most likely to buy merchandise?
  18. Yes, Deduno is certainly a wildcard in there.
  19. Whoot! Whoot! Awesome idea! Loved it.
  20. Moderators note While some side discussion on personnel decisions is relevant to this thread, let's not turn it into another referendum on FO spending, every other player they should have signed in the offseason and who's fault everything is. Let's keep things mainly about Bartlett being on the 25 man and what that means for the Twins this season. This are veering a little too far off course. Thanks
  21. Reasons to be excited, Arcia, Hicks, Pinto, Gibson, Thielbar, the promise of respectable starting pitching, a healthy Joe Mauer, Dozier continuing to get it done, roster turnover and more prospects by summer. They could have made it better but I'll run with it for now.
  22. This is pretty much my feeling on the whole issue. I'm frustrated by their singular approach and easy willingness to sell the future, when they have the opportunity to pursue both that and continue to improve the product they are selling in the present. It's costing this team more than it needs to in the short term. But I'll continue to watch, take my kids, spend all my money and hope for the best every game despite it all.
  23. But we might as well take the chance to come to that conclusion, it's clear Diamond was very unlikely to be the answer and they may as well run with Johnson and Gilmartin to find out if they are. It would be pretty hard for them to be any worse of an option. If Diamond passes through waivers great but he's still going to have to work past others to get another shot.
