  1. That's achieuving to you pal!
  2. The premise of the original post was that Vargas has very clearly made some adjustments to his swing and overall approach at the plate. So far it's met with success, sure it's a hot streak, and? It will be his last? All good hitters go through streaks, lots of them. Time will tell with Vargas, as it does with any player. Statistics aside, he appears to be approaching things that are giving him a better chance at success. Right now the stats just happen to be matching the eye test. That doesn't mean the eye test is wrong.
  3. Grossman looks like the same player as before with different results. So far Vargas looks to have made adjustments to his swing and approach. The latter gives me more reason to believe he'll continue to be effective despite the SSS.
  4. Based on what the OP was mentioning, I question how many people have bothered to actually watch Vargas play in his return.
  5. Grossman is definitely not the player we saw before the AL Star break.
  6. I have a chicken wing problem. There, I said it.
  7. Not as good as it first looked is probably still higher than anyone realistically expected. They traded a guy they needed to trade to cash in on whatever value he had and to open up a roster spot for a future contributing player. The fact they got someone who has at least an average chance of contributing as well at some point is a success.
  8. Pretty much exceeded everyone's expectations I imagine. Perhaps that's not saying much though. Kudos to Antony, the window for Nuno was small, he managed to crawl through it and find some value on the other side. Going to miss the helmet shucker, he kind of grows on you.
  9. Whoops, took a wrong turn into Wild Xtra I see, what the hell?
  10. Sorry, just yearning for something new to read and discuss. Moving into the dog days of Summer I guess. Oh well.
  11. Wait, wut....I can do that?!! Damn, here I was thinking you were referring to something I could actually do.
  12. Agreed, and one that has been beaten, flogged, maimed and dismembered to death at least 80 times over in the past 2-3 years, without much new to offer. Sorry, I know it's only my prerogative but nothing is lamer than the same old, predictable Joe Mauer thread imo.
  13. As per usual in a Mauer thread.
  14. What number does page 2 start on?
  15. Seems a whole lot better than Pohlad and St.Peter trying to bluff their way through the process. If all they end up doing is picking the worst of a good bunch, that's a good outcome.
  16. Me too, Creme Brulee and nip of Port, delicious.
  17. President Trump. C'mon you guys, wtf?
  18. Cinnamon raisin with some butter....toasted. Cream cheese.....barf.....unless it's of the icing variety.
  19. I can't help it, every time I see Jackie Bradley Jr's name, I think of this........
  20. Just finished watching last nights game http://replygif.net/i/1593.gif
  21. Looks like that game thread a couple of days ago took a lot out of everyone. Mystic River Gone Baby Gone Paper Chase
  22. Enjoy your new hat and shirt. The organisation thanks you for your business.
