  1. Is there a more likable athlete than Bolt? Guy is unreal. De Grasse could be the dominant sprinter come 2020, he looks good so far.
  2. Geez, I just read through the Game Thread and it's nothing but a bunch of whiny baseball talk. What's the matter with you people?
  3. Great job Chi! Short and sweet.
  4. I'm out.....damn Ruskies.
  5. So Long Island Iced Tea was invented in Tennessee and does not contain Iced Tea. You guys kill me!
  6. Ok, I've seen people drink Long Island Ice Tea, but wtf is it? I'll go out on a limb and guess iced tea is an ingredient. And why is it called Long Island Ice Tea? Because it looks like it came from the East River?
  7. Hey, apparently we can jump as well! Whoo hoo! http://olympics.cbc.ca/video/vod/derek-drouin-clears-route-gold-men-high-jump-for-canada.html
  8. Amen brother.
  9. I used to like you.
  10. Good to know, thx!
  11. Yes.... Hoping to include the Surly Prospect Park Taproom and Steel Toe this year. Not great routing when you're not driving however.
  12. I want to know why that one player on each team has to wear a different jersey
  13. I'm not sure surfing TD and Klondike Wikipedia at the same time qualifies as multi tasking.
  14. I was going to say Dawson City.............because I didn't know what the hell he was talkin' 'bout!
  15. Glad I wasn't the only one. That was like backwards trivia. What is the Yukon now known as that it wasn't known as before but actually was.
  16. Wow, I think the last time an American said that to a Canadian must of been around 1814.
  17. They went on offense, they just played a deep back line. Either way, they played a strategic defensive game against more superior offensive opponents. In other words, they played soccer.
  18. As far as I can tell, all they did was win. Ms. Solo felt differently. “I thought that we played a courageous game. I thought we had many opportunities on goal. I think we showed a lot of heart,” Hope said in a post-game interview (via SI.com). “We came back from a goal down. I’m very proud of this team.” “And I also think we played a bunch of cowards. The better team did not win today. I strongly believe that. I think you saw American heart. You saw us give everything we had today,” Hope added. When asked why she thought the Swedish team played cowardly, she said: “Sweden dropped off. They didn’t want to open play. They didn’t want to pass the ball. They didn’t want to play great soccer. It was a combative game, a physical game. Exactly what they wanted and exactly what their gameplan was. They dropped into a 50. They didn’t try and press. They didn’t want to open the game. And they tried to counter with longballs. We had that style of play when Pia [sundhage] was our coach.”
  19. Candians? Isn't that an Afghani tribe? They're polite eh?
  20. I love when Americans make fun of my spelling .
  21. That's a great story, it's good to know these things still continue to happen. I think this is one of the greatest shows of sportsmanship ever.
