  1. I was trying to write in Portuguese but it would translate in part to English
  2. Muito Obrigado, e ben vindo para TD! Eu tambem ficei passionate com Johan Santana or primeiro tempo eu assistir ele. Ele e` meu lancedor favorito do o historia do Twins
  3. Muito Obrigado!
  4. Does my heart good to see these sacrifices to maintain this wonderful & wholesome culture into the family community. Many times they are under-valued & ignored then society suffers
  5. I heard that there`d be a lot of 1st class college pitchers in this draft. If that`s the case it`d be nice to have another shot at one
  6. I`ve heard that there`ll be a lot of high quality college pitchers in this draft. If that`s true, it`d be nice to have another shot one
  7. The Twins are the good guys helping these big market big spenders out of their problems. We don`t need this trade! We can do better else where w/o wasting a high ML ready pitching prospect. We won`t regret walking away now! If we continue this limbo is not healthy for this team & we`ll regret it! Please FO do us proud!
  8. Just to remind everyone; last year, Gibson had just gotten over e coli & battled colitis the rest of the year & Perez was not considered as a pure starter but more of a reliever who wanted to start. But yet both pitched several more innings than healthy pure starter Odorizzi. They both pitched phenomenally until they ran out of gas. If they were limited innings like Maeda, their stats would be much better than his. Records show that Maeda`s efficiency drops off drastically w/ batters 3rd time around. I`m tired of Gibson & Perez bashing. Sorry, I was more optimistic w/ last year`s non contending rotation than this year`s contending
  9. Welcome, Oregontwin! My thoughts too!
  10. By the way I don`t give a d*** (dime) either
  11. To me MN has nothing lose either way. Hopefully if this doesn`t go thru for MN, they will approach Graterol differently selling him as a promising young ace (as he is) that they can be use as an opener & occasionally as a reliever (like Maeda) now, besides giving him opportunity to work on his secondary pitches w/o giving him too many innings in the minors. We can even find another #3 starter w/ even more upside w/o using primarily our pitching prospects Actually after all this display I hope it does go thru for everybody concerned
  12. Thank you everyone who contributed to this blog! You all convinced me that this dream will probably come later than sooner.
  13. Last year CO inch away from SD for last place by 1 game. This year SD has done much more in improving their team CO has done nothing & no really great prospects coming up. I like the core of CO players very much but odds are they`ll end up in last place. I like Marquez , He is an establish pitcher & will be very expensive. Gray is not so he`ll be more reasonably priced. I believe Gray will greatly improve away from CO, therefore providing more bang for the buck It`ll be very interesting how this will unravel
  14. The 2017 Twins FO traded some important players (believing they didn`t have a chance) the team came back & got in the play offs. The difference from Colorado today is that their GM Jeff has his a## on the line (he made some bad deals) & `17 Twins just came in & wanted to clean house. For them make the right call, they may have to fire Jeff
  15. That`s what I`m saying. I know that the Rockies don`t want to give up their play off hopes. But for the Rockies get someone like Kris Bryant in exchange for Arenado is very unlikely. If the Rockies can`t compete w/ Arenado (one of the best 3B if not the best) they certainly can`t compete w/o him. The Rockies are strapped for money thru the Arenado contract & some bad deals they can`t go out & get FAs they don`t have the farm to go out & trade. I see them similar to Pittsburgh in this respect. Sooner or later they`ll have to wake up & see what everyone already knows that they won`t compete this year or in the future until they rebuild. To rebuild they need to trade for prospects & believe Jon Gray will be 1 of the 1st.
  16. Ted Schwerzler wrote a great article that the Twins need to target the Pirates as a great trade possibility now. I totally agree! But I`d like to present possibly another in the near future & that`s the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies had a losing record last year, well out of contention of any play off possibility. This off season they didn`t do anything but yet they believe they still have a chance to make it this year, so they said they don`t want to trade. Now w/ the Arenado situation, I believe they will have to trade him. I believe Arenado really wants to win it all so he finally woke up & realized that the Rockies aren`t going anywhere therefore he wants out. He has an opt out option after next year & when the FO realizes that he`s going that route they have no choice other than to trade him. W/o Arenado & a very weak farm system they`ll have to take the route of rebuilding. https://www.baseballtradevalues.com/its-time-to-break-up-the-rockies/ That brings up Jon Gray, he`s been compared as the next Gerrit Cole https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-sports/twins-daily-finding-the-next-gerrit-cole-a-rocky-proposition Since this article I`ve been dreaming of a Jon Gray trade. Gerrit Cole wasn`t that great w/ the Pirates but when he arrived at the Astros his career took off. If we get Gray I believe he`ll become an ace for us. Although I don`t know for sure ,I`ve heard he`s not satisfied at Colorado. I know Colorado is looking for a high prospect catcher but hopefully they`ll get it when they trade Arenado so we don`t have to use our high catching prospect. Then we can trade pitching & outfield prospects. It`ll cost us a couple of high prospects. Many teams will be after him so we need to be ready What do you think?
  17. I remember the `92 Twins pitching rotation Smiley, Tapani, Erickson & Krueger. I had such high hopes for them. But I felt they got over extended (especially Smiley) & tanked & never lived up to that expectation. Last year I had even greater expectations for Berrios, Odorizzi, Gibson, Perez & Pineda & they exceeded my expectations. They were feeding off each other, it was wonderful! W/o this glorious run up to June, we wouldn`t have made it to the post season! The BP faltered & put a lot of pressure on this rotation & they ran out of gas at the end. This especially effected Gibson who had been fighting e coli & was still fighting colitis. Perez is not a strong starting pitcher & should not have been treated as one (he should have been used extensively in tandem if he didn`t want to go to the BP.) Pineda is a strong starting pitcher & him being used in tandem helped him to come on strong at the end. I`m not excited about this year rotation at all, I`m afraid Berrios, Odorizzi & the BP will be over extended. Yes, we have a fantastic line up, yes, we have a great BP, yes we have a few promising prospects that are not there yet. Our starting pitching overall is inferior. We need someone (by trade or otherwise) to bridge that gap especially in the beginning of the season. Again I suggest we need to be creative to keep our pitching staff fresh & hungry; using openers as often as possible, limit pitching count according to each pitchers limits. Rotating pitchers from the minors to the majors, this will give everyone rest they need & more experience & evaluations of up coming pitchers.
  18. Totally agree except I don`t have as much faith in Bailey as you do. In the beginning of the season there`s a big gap between Berrios - Odorizzi & the rest of the pack. Berrios - Odorizzi are lined up & motivated to take an extra step forward but others are far behind. Pineda will help in the final push & hopefully Hill will be ready to roll by Sept.. Berrios - Odorizzi could be over worked by the time Oct. comes around. Graterol is in the BP & even if they change their mind he won`t be ready until later in the season. Could Walker be the one? Could we trade for some one else until a better prospect (John Gray) comes along? Could we win the division w/o trading for someone now? Yes I believe so but can we do that w/o over-taxing Berrios - Odorizzi? We need a strong rotation going into the post season & we need to address the 40 man roster problem before the off season
  19. It`ll be interesting how the new arms will fare & that includes the ones who will be ready to make that jump this year
  20. https://www.baseballtradevalues.com/its-time-to-break-up-the-rockies/ this could quickly become fire sale! A great opportunity for Twins
  21. I live in Brazil & I don`t get a lot of rumors on what the Twins FO is doing so I`d appreciate it if anybody can tell me how serious the FO is in seeking a pitching trade? & possibles. TD is my primary Twins source
  22. I can see that. Also AR & CO we know they won`t be in it but they have hopes. If things get ugly w/ Arenado, CO could be out of it sooner than we think
  23. Everybody would like these veterans to succeed but Bailey`s prediction is that he`ll recede & don`t know if his style will do well here. Hopefully Hall will recover enough for one more hurrah but at his age it`s not guaranteed. I`m not putting my hope on them
  24. I tend to agree w/all except #2 is the most difficult. I believe Arraez`s bat is for real but his defense will keep him off the allstars. Now that they`ll keep an eye on cheating we should win a play-off series & who knows they might make it to the Big One if they get that impact pitcher!
  25. Love your blog! I was hoping someone would come up w/ this. Although my 1st choice would be to find a diamond in the rough from a team that has no chance of competing MIA,PIT or SF. Eventually it comes down to this, deadline push. Jon Gray is also my 1st choice. Even though a team w/ decent pitching could be competing for an play-off spot, they might be open to trade pitching to bolster an obvious weakness which would increase their trade-ability pts,
