  1. Do we have a doctor in the house to break down the Allard injury? Or does anyone know of any recent cases? Very intrigued by him.
  2. Fulmer has major helium right now. BA has him going #1 now. The top pitchers vary from site to site. One day I want Funkhouser/Harris and the next, I hate them (based on what I read). Can we get a "Top 5 SP's" list from some of you draft junkies?
  3. Here's to hoping Max Murphy continues to impress.
  4. Sore shoulder according to Seth.
  5. Always sell high. Let him string some good outings together. I don't have faith in the Twins doing so given their history, but I also think the market is a lot lower than we all hope. Unless it's Drew Butera
  6. This is one of those "nice problems to have," but I selfishly would like one to be promoted prematurely so that they both could get work at SS. I remember Goodrum getting the "best arm" award in the Twins' system one year. Would love if he could stick.
  7. Agreed. Gordon is further away than Turner but has a lot more potential. I'm leary of Hoffman's so-so Spring, but pitchers are always welcome.
  8. At the risk of being flayed, I'll say it: I want Jackson. Take all pitchers after him, if they want.
  9. Interesting that Polanco started the opener at SS and Goodrum at 3B. Organization would apparently love for him to stick at short as well.
  10. Diamond with only 4 earned runs through 2 innings. Not too shabby.
  11. Emilio Bonafacio has his 10th hit already this season. In the first inning of game 3. Wow.
  12. Sincerely, thank you. This is a small bright spot.
  13. Maybe there is a leadership/return to roots aspect here. I don't know. But unless Bartlett is swinging the Elder Wand at the plate, I don't see this going well. Presley was young, could play center, and showed an ability to hit the ball at a mediocre clip. Ugh.
  14. Can you describe the sharpness of Buxton's ground-outs?
  15. Cory Provus just called Joe Maddon by the first name of "John." So there's that.
  16. Damn Yankees. I am a big fan of the international free agent pool and believe that it's the best way to add talent. It's a shame that these teams "beat the system." Though I'm sure it will be considered innovative. Was the idea of a draft tabled? Or is it still in talks?
  17. I'm holding off until next year. Has someone posted a "Things To Do In Ft. Myers" thread before?
  18. Joe Benson. So much hair. Excellent point about how focusing too much on tools sometimes is a mistake. It's easy to be blinded.
  19. I'm very pleased to learn that I wasn't the only one to do a double-take at the sight of the name "Engelb Vielma." Will follow his box scores this season, though it appears that his strengths won't show up there.
  20. Gentleman's agreement based on Morneau's production? Shoot.
  21. Rosetta Stone. Problems solved.
  22. Ryan* does it again? I know, I know, WAY too early. But, fun.
  23. This times infinity.
  24. Can't link a reference or article, but haven't "doctors" stated that arm problems are the result of pitching past exhaustion, not overthrowing or pitching too many days in a row? I don't know. Don't mind saving arms. I don't think it's "gritty" when arms have proven to be so delicate. I also don't think it's a mindset. Tommy John is just too prevalent today.
