  1. Maybe he thought he was 64-years-old and 18 inches tall?
  2. Indiana 3B Dustin DeMuth in the 8th. Prototypical size, arm but lacks power production.
  3. Dang. My guy, Jan Hernandez, just went off the board. Love those PR middle infielders!
  4. I guess it's positive to see McGuire so high. And Miguel Cabrera is my dark horse for mid-season MVP.
  5. Great post! Too much fun to think about. Also enjoyed your added humor.
  6. Enjoyed the conversation. Length doesn't bother me, but as conciseness looks to be favored, I won't argue. Can't get enough draft talk!
  7. Yeah, Bickford has really been picking up steam the past few days. Anyone heard why? Or has anyone researched him? The Royals taking him over some of the other possible arms would be just like them.
  8. Nice post! Thanks for this refreshing view from up close.
  9. Do the struggles of Hudson Boyd make anyone nervous about taking another prep pitcher in Stewart. I think he's obviously better than Boyd, draft position speaks for itself. But after seeing Boyd's line from today, I started thinking about the Twins' lack of success in this area. I prefer Stewart, I am just curious.
  10. I would love for the Twins to take Diaz or Jan Hernandez out of PR. They do have a penchant for dipping into the prospect pool there and short stop isn't exactly a strength in the organization.
  11. Yessssssssss Happy for him. He couldn't do any more in Ft. Myers
  12. Heard the same Molitor interview on 1500 a week or two ago. When the Miracle were put in a first inning hole, he basically checked out offensively and defensively. Had some miscues. The benching makes me think that his game has been slipping more with the recent "slide" by the team. I hope Molitor is asked about it this week. His stuff is gold. When asked if Buxton is a 30-30 guy he quickly answered, "yes" deadpan. Expected him to be more reserved or hedge a little.
  13. According to LEN III, Eddie has been benched this past week because of his "approach to the game". This doesn't sound too good, but right on par with the past 2 weeks. Has this happened before with such a highly rated prospect? Anyone have any more info?
  14. I don't want to get ripped for my absurd opinion or baseball knowledge, but it just looks like Hicks isn't at full speed when tracking balls he deems outside of his range. On balls in the gap, he appears to coast to it and lob it in when it just feels like there should be a sense of urgency to me. I also get the same feeling on those soft liners that fall 10 feet in front of him (like Monday). Hicks' range and defensive ability have been praised, so could this be how he has always played and he just looks in low gear on TV? Was he known to "sell out" in the minors and go for the dive or warning track ball? Legitmately curious as to what you guys think.
  15. Listen to the Judd & Dubay show/podcast tomorrow. It will be all hockey.
  16. Will you be doing a Puerto Rico Baseball Academy prospect watch list? It seems the Twins have an affinity for those guys.
  17. Eddie was robbed, but experts are using his injury as an excuse to leave him off the list. Which is understandable. Either way, I am hoping he gets comfortable at 2B while getting on base. Fort Myers should be a fun team to pay attention to.
  18. I am also afraid that Hicks struggles out of the gate, but more afraid that his confidence is shaken early. Benson having experience would at least be a little better in this respect, but hoping for the best for both gentleman!
  19. How close are the Rock Cats to securing a playoff bid? I'd like to see Hicks get as much time as possible and play in AA post-season. And maybe avoid what happened to Benson last year (overmatched). Thoughts?
  20. I just want to see a move that improves the team, even if it's only initially... Even for one second. TRY. I'm not saying give away pieces, but I'd like to see them roll the dice with good-looking prospects. Even young "B Prospects"
  21. But he makes 23 million and is too laid back. LOLz. Couldn't kee a straight face. Go, Joe!
  22. As in, too good? They have won games 10-0, 18-2, 9-0, 9-1, and 14-1. They'll be okay.
  23. Promote EVERYONE Kansas City Royals style. They've been so succesful with this philosophy.
