  1. They won't part with Capps. They are in contention... Buyers not sellers... Jeez Ashbury... Get your game face on. First pitch is almost upon us.
  2. 4.5 Games out... And... Only the bullpen, Mauer, Florimon and Correia have performed as good or better than what they were expected to 4.5 games out with performances below Expectation or career averages from Willingham, Morneau, Doumit, Plouffe, Parmelee, Hicks, Worley and Pelfrey. If those guys start hitting like we expected them to. We might do a little trade deadline shopping. We just might.
  3. Whats Up Doc (crunch on carrot)
  4. Your sentiment fits my mood much better than what Shane was dishing out earlier.
  5. In your opinion Seth... Why isn't Rosario on the list. He seems to be stroking it.
  6. Mayo knows a lot more than I do... But in consideration of Rosario's performance this year... 99 seems low for him. I don't know... I've never seen Rosario so maybe 99 is his spot. However... I'm a little more sure of these cause I've seen them: If Wacha is 76... I'll eat my hat... No way there are 75 prospects better. His change up is as good as I've seen. If Puig is 70... I'll eat my favorite shirt... Good stats and every tool in the tool box. No way there are 69 better. If Cingrani is 60... I'll eat my pants (don't think what you are thinking)... He blew away AAA and performed wonderfully during his call up... No way there are 59 better. Didi Gregorious should be moved off of 58 all together... I'm pretty sure that he is in Arizona for good. No longer a prospect. Arenado can probably be moved off of 57... Maybe... Maybe not... He looks like he has at least one hand on the 3B job in Denver.
  7. LOL Gun... How right you are... Cuz... They all are.
  8. Did I mention that I'm a Deduno fan!!! I say that knowing that the two of his 4 wheels are off the ground and could flip at any moment. Hopefully we can all enjoy the ride tonight. Almost two hours to game today and I'm off from work... In position and waiting patiently. Overture... Curtain... Lights... This is it... You'll hit the heights... And Oh what Hieghts we'll hit... On with the show... This is it.
  9. #1... Anything written by someone called Mr. Horrorpants immediately gets my attention. #2... After reading it... You lived up to the standard of someone called Mr. Horrorpants. #3.... That's a good thing... Full compliments to you... Very entertaining... More please!!!
  10. We should all plan a mass invasion of Glunn's place. Just to get a taste of Beverly Hills living. I'm sure Grand Forks is very similar to Beverly Hills but I'd like to find out for sure. I've been to Seattle... nice place but unannounced home invasions would be more fun.
  11. You Just Bummed Me Out. I'm gonna have to walk this off before game time.
  12. I disagree with this paragraph but I liked the way you typed it.
  13. I hate being optimistic but my blood type is B Positive so I can't help it. If we are 4.5 games out with Sub Par starting pitching from 3/5ths of our rotation and below expected(personal average) performances from Willingham, Plouffe, Morneau, Parmelee and Doumit thus far. We could surprise... if all get to doing what they are expected to do.
  14. I hope Clete comes to town having picked up a trick or two in the past year. I hope he is a smashing success... Although... I still want to see Arcia instead.
  15. You are probably right Seth... Although Arcia is gonna remain my wish... Small sample size no doubt but what I saw with Arcia is some definite struggles and bad chases on occasion but the guy is already one of our better hitters. As for the playing time thing. A simple rotation with Willingham, Doumit, Morneau and Parmelee will feed all of them. Each could play 4 out of 5 and we will have a decent bench bat at all times for our lighter hitting middle infield guys when needed. Gardy should be a good enough manager to work with what would be a good problem to have.
  16. No way of me knowing about Plouffe or Correia specifically so I'll take the names out to protect the innocent. Isn't it possible that he has higher expectations for Player A than he does for player B when comparing skill sets. Maybe Player B works harder just to be average and maybe Player A has the potential to be above average but doesn't execute and they end up looking even in value. In that scenerio... You would be disappointed in Player A and satisfied with player B yet to the outsider they are equal in production. I'm just throwing something out for thought. I could be way wrong... No way of knowing without direct access.
  17. After 1,700 plus games... I think it's quite possible that every facet of his job has become routine. I have no idea if it actually is and I wouldnt make a definite claim... But if its like any job across America... It is quite possible. Actually... Most likely.
  18. I'm not trying to be argumentative here... But does anyone realize how routine these post game interviews have to be for Gardenhire. Hes been Managing since 2002. He's probably done about 1,700 plus of em. Tack on the regular run of the mill interview which probably numbers in the thousands. I'm guessing... that back in 2002... He probably gave serious thought to what he said and how he phrased things for reporters... By now... It's probably the equivalent to a bar owner sweeping the floor after closing time. Its just something he has to do but easy to go through the motions after doing it nightly. I'm sure we can all find the equivalent to this in our jobs. I place no creedence in the post game interview... I think it's something he just gets through. Something he has done as often as Ashburyjohn has clipped his toenails and done with as much care. His job begins when he meets with the players, coaches and the GM. That's where the action is.
  19. I want Arcia... I suppose he can't just yet... But I want Arcia...
  20. Ba Dum Tssssh... Here's the pitch... Deep Drive... and that one is out of here... And we'll see ya Tomorrow... umm... Tuesday Night.
  21. Good timing... Perfectly done... Every year... I'd fill out my college basketball brackets and I would get clobbered. My champion would be knocked out in the 1st round. I had to come up with a system that worked... I played with a bunch of them... Same result... Finally I found one... And it worked and I haven't missed a single game in 3 years of filling out brackets. I wait til the games are over and then fill it out. It works every time!
  22. How old do you think he was: when he came to the conclusion that his name was Farquhar and there were better last names to be had.
  23. Im past believing and into full slobber.
  24. Patience is a virtue... All you need is just a little patience... 15 years later... Chinese Democracy.
