  1. They have a Costco on Rodeo? Im trying to imagine that in my mind.
  2. Actually I was Ok with it... Nobody out... It took a perfect throw.
  3. Bummer... I hate it when they throw us out at third.
  4. Parm with the Double... Let's keep it going.
  5. News from around the league: Matt Harvey is getting killed by the Marlins.
  6. It was just one inning... Plenty of time for rusty mistakes. Hopefully The Twins are more inclined to exploit them... Yesterday they were not.
  7. News from around the league... Domonic Brown is still on fire. Another Homer today.
  8. He threw well if throwing well means finding the wheelhouse. Every ball was tagged pretty good. Good Fortune to escape without damage... Let's see if can settle down going forward.
  9. I agree... Baseball has tons of sub plots that make the game beyond interesting for me. I'm also excited to watch Herrmann play. He has to be gulping a bit.
  10. LOL... Pregnancy was the thing that freaked me out most in my life... It was seriously 9 months of me soaking in worry and everything went perfectly fine. Once my sons were born... I threw them around... I let them put pennies in the outlet... I didnt worry much anymore. But... The pregnancy part. I was a wimpy piece of jelly.
  11. I'm going need some experienced confirmation. Hey North... Is this true?
  12. I've always assumed that Canadians rarely report having the flu because: A. Constant Cold Weather builds up the immune system B. Lack of human hygiene builds up the immune system. C. Hangovers every morning can feel like the flu so when they actually get the flu... They can't tell the difference.
  13. I must have read that wrong... For 9 months... I was a wreck... If a Dr. Would have prescribed Bed Rest... I would have asked the Dr. To move in with us.
  14. Not in our case. I could imagine... It would be a very powerless feeling.
  15. Thats been my experience... I'm rarely sick myself... But when I get sick... I'm really good at it. I get really sick... My Flu is a power flu... Multiple days... I could win awards.
  16. She knows that simple poison wouldn't kill me. It would just get me sicker and it would continue the whining I do. Her best bet is health as quickly as possible. Now when she gets sick... I'm very sympathetic in return. Ahh... Poor thing... Your not feeling good... Your temp is 104... I'm sorry honey... Don't you worry about a thing... I can wait an hour or so until we eat.
  17. When I get the flu... I like to ask for stuff... Honey... Could you bring me some soup? Honey... Can you bring me a damp cloth for my head? Honey... Could you get one of those memory foam pillows at the store? Honey... We need a dog... could you find a Puppy? Maybe a Sheltie? Something looks like a little lassie. Honey... Could you turn the TV about two inches to the right? Honey... Can you read to me what Chief and Ashbury are writing on Twins Daily?
  18. I've also noticed this... Just eyeballing his starts. His fastball with sink down in the zone seems to be the most effective. IMO. However... Throwing the cutter on occasion even if it causes occasional damage probably helps the effectiveness of his two seamer down and the effective two seamer could help his curve out like Brooks says... His curve seems average to me but its part of the mixin it up thing. Just a guess from me... I don't know for sure but I have noticed that his cutter gets tagged every once in awhile.
  19. You'd figure Big Canadians would be tougher. Tie Domi would never get the flu... He'd look the flu in the eye and the flu would leave him alone in fear and go attack Alex Trebek.
  20. I'm a sucker for scenery... when I take family vacations... I don't fly... i pack the wife and kids in the car and we drive cuz I don't want to fly over stuff... I want to see it all. I live in Eastern North Dakota... I can't remember the last time I saw actual scenery. The closest was last summer... I saw a nice girl riding a bike... Leaning over the handlebars with her shirt hanging loose and providing a surprise for male drivers on the road. I nearly plowed into the car that slowed in front of me. Bounced my head off the windshield breaking to avoid the accident.
  21. There is a part of me that wants to know exactly how Gardy feels about his players. There is also a part of me (out of respect for the player) that wishes he would only be supportive of his players in post game interviews. Saving uncomfortable sentiment for behind close doors. I realize that it is impossible for me to have it both ways. As for Gardy's use of the word Fantastic. I think it's possible that Gardy spoke off the cuff and didnt worry about the exact measurement of the adjective that popped into his head. Once I went to a restaurant with my wife. On the dessert menu was Mango Ice Cream... Never had it before so I tried it. My wife asked me "how's the ice cream" and I said it was "Amazing"!!! My wife looked at me and said... "Really... You are amazed by Ice Cream". I thought about it... I might have been a little over the top on the adjective... But... The Ice Cream was Thumbs Up and I think Correia was Thumbs up today as well. I'll give Gardy a break on being grandiose cuz I've been there myself.
