  1. Gleeman has tweeted "Stink successfully raised. Good job everyone". Here's a link with more info about MLB's policy and Apple's actions.
  2. Great link. Just watched the first freakout. Looking forward to the rest when I have time. Haven't seen all the other broadcasters so can't say he's the worst, but I will always dislike him the most.
  3. Like Sex Panther, the Talking Hair is illegal in nine countries. Unfortunately this isn't one of them. http://vinteeage.com/product-images/sex-panther-anchorman-t-shirt-vintage-t-shirt-review-vintage-cotton-vintage-cotton-3.jpg 162 games is twice the workload of basketball and hockey, and twice the chance of broadcaster overdose for fans. They need guys like Morris to provide some variety. He seems pretty good so far. Imho, Bert peaked as an announcer at the height of the push to get him inducted. He finally saw a glimmer of the sabermetric light and it really improved his contribution to the broadcast. Then he got in, and pretty much seems to have been coasting ever since. Three losing seasons probably haven't helped.
  4. Good idea. Might want to go with Lajor Meague Laselabb, just to be on the safe side.
  5. After three years of futility, that standard applied to the Twins' starting pitching is pretty much the same as the initial one applied to drone strikes, i.e. no civilian casualties. That being said, agreed, and tip of cap for the optimism . Happy for Darnell and there was something as uplifting tonight about Twins pitching tonight as having your/your son's Pinewood Derby car finish mid-pack but be voted 'Car with Coolest Hand-painted exhaust flames'.
  6. But what if Suzuki got hurt in what was almost certainly the last AB of the game? You'd feel pretty silly knowing that your last contribution to the internet right before our planet was consumed internally by a black hole was a knock against the very man who stands on guard against that possibility... http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100409094451/memoryalpha/en/images/0/06/Vulcan_consumed_by_black_hole.jpg
  7. Yeah, as much fun as it has been to go there about Punto, he was clearly a better ball player when with the Twins than Flerrmoan. Made me a little sad to type that.
  8. If for no other reason than the possibility that he might get hit by a pitch and still slide head-first into the bag.
  9. You forgot about former MLB catcher Josh Wil... Never mind.
  10. He probably will, but on a shallow pop fly just beyond the infielders...
  11. On a note related to Hermann's wacky misadventures in the outfield, KLaw has an article at four-letter about Bryce Harper's injury that speculates that even though catcher is top of the defensive value spectrum and corner OF is near the bottom, it may not be an easy transition.
  12. Jack Morris notes that Gardenhire's "hands are tied" with respect to pinch hitting or running. Might be a bit of an understatement. A discussion of whether or not he reverse-Houdini tied his own hands with roster decision input is outside the scope of color commentary, so there's no use holding it against Morris. Just sayin'.
  13. Rumor has it she threw at her own kid in a mother-daughter fast-pitch softball game. Might be the spark the Twins need...
  14. There's a rumor that dat hair rescued more than a dozen passengers from a sinking Malaysian ferry, but until there's proof, I agree. The leading forum expert on/fan of Dozier may disagree.
  15. She can really bring it for a 5'-8" septuagenarian. And with the Twins' luck, the Detroit native will want to sign with the Tigers in free agency.
  16. And with the Gardy-fooling fake toss of Darnell's trophy case baseball into the stands, Brian Dozier is officially my favorite current Twin...
  17. I... what? Agree about Fuld not being a leadoff guy.
  18. Binary numbers are still numbers. His have I/have I not zero will change to a one.
  19. Dozier's .814 OPS leads all MLB hitters batting .250 or less. No one else is over .800. He's already a valuable offensive player, but once that .250 BAPIP moves up a bit he could be really special.
  20. "92 Mph fastball blown by Swisher" just happened. It's the DB hyperbole parallel to the raised timber/OMG, possible Twins' home run call that he leads the league in.
  21. Tooka Chinchilla? Me too, but had to drop it after a dreadful legal battle with a casino up north. On a totally unrelated note, the avatar is great. Taking rescue carnivore rabbits for a walk is something to be proud of. Well done.
  22. Just what PFlo needed, hit theft not covered by Geico...
  23. Based on my extensive research of Lakota language and culture, can definitely rule out the possibility that his name means "Fluffy Bunny Feet"... http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/29883i2E5D644AECB417A3/image-size/large?v=mpbl-1&px=-1
  24. The Twins' Greenberg in the month of April had one of his better AB's of the past week or so.
  25. Large family of Blackhawk fans down the street were yelling their heads off with the windows open while we were working outside. Thinking there might have to be a late night Bluto mission to desecrate a certain pair of garden gnomes.
