    The Minnesota media and fans have been pretty hard on Royce (somewhere deserved), but can you imagine what the Boston media/fans would be like in the same circumstances?

    It's different, but it reminds me of many people insisting that Ober can't succeed at 89MPH. Is it more difficult to succeed there? Yes. Is it impossible? No. I wish he was back at 91/92, but the reality is that he's not, and he might never get back there. He will either flame out because of it or he'll figure it out. I'll let his actual results tell me that answer, not what people insist is going to happen.

    I'm fine with the assumption that it played out like Duran said it did (I've seen articles that the Twins are looking into it) but I think the title of this article makes an faulty assumption that this necessarily was a Twins fan. Maybe it was. Maybe it wasn't. People can be the worst. I can't imagine what's going through someone's mind when they says such terrible things. I never thought I would be the guy to report someone's language, but at a game last year I felt like I had to. The fan was making everyone around them uncomfortable and kept escalating what they were saying (ultimately, they want a reaction and when they aren't getting it, they will escalate as much as is necessary). It's went from embarrassing to unacceptable. The Twins staff (ushers and security) dealt with it quickly and kicked the fan out. That's all we can do. Report unacceptable actions and hope it's dealt with.

    Not a ton of 5-2-5 double plays in baseball.

    With the Martin HR, Outman is now the only hitter on the Twins this seasons without a HR. I hope he can get one before he gets DFA'ed.

    At this point, mentioning the attendance each game feels like if I got on 35W at 8am every day and went on to the 35W discussion board to mention there there was traffic.

    Should’ve called up Kyle DeBarge for this game. I wonder how many instances there are of players facing each other where one player was the guy who got a QO and left a team and the other guy was the draft pick they got for the other guy leaving.

    What filter/threshold would you suggest that would be narrative free? 1 inning? 1 start? Include injured guys who WILL see time? 20 innings? Include CF who played in the corners some last year?
