  1. So was I. I just don't understand why we suck at them so much
  2. Did Aviles get confused about who was in RF?
  3. Hmmm... Other teams seem to know how to bunt. Why don't we?
  4. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/2015-mlb-statcast-baserunning-data-ichiro-suzuki/ Eddie Rosario appeared in the "top 10 average max speed" list, and Mauer made an appearance at the end. Mauer's not that much slower than Charlie Blackmon (who has 40 SB) but Mauer is one of the worst and getting leads and Blackmon is one of the best. Anyway, I thought that was interesting and in general it was a pretty interesting article
  5. People that don't care about $40k, don't mention ATM fees on their twitter feed.
  6. He shouldn't have helped out his team so much in the playoffs.... he might have made another $40k
  7. He actually kind of ripped on Duffey, in his praise for Berrios. Something to the effect of "The Twins might end up regretting giving so many starts to May and Duffey, if they just miss the post season" Once you hit the majors you can stop judging people on their prospect status and start judging them on results. Duffey's results have been fantastic and I think even the biggest JO fan would have been thrilled if he provided the same results that Duffey has provided. May and then Duffey getting starts were the LEAST of the Twins problem this year.
  8. Regardless of who's fueling the success, there's something to be said for players picking up their games after the front office showed they were willing to push their chips into the middle.
  9. Duffey sporting a 2.06 ERA since his debut against Toronto
  10. Changing the topic slightly... What's Beresford's ceiling? He seems to have a hit tool, but not really anything else (although I can't speak to his defense) Good Nick Punto?
  11. It may seem that I'm worked up, but I'm not. I needed to put that language in there to show how much I disagreed with you. Jeremy, can you please tell us your rationale for having Beresford ahead of Walker? Near as I can tell the ONLY thing that Beresford did better than ABW is getting hits 6.8% more often, half of which was made up for by the higher walk rate. G ..AB . R . H . TB . 2B .3B.. HR .RBI.. BB .SO .SB .CS . AVG. OBP .SLG OPS 129 . 498 . 58. 153 .. 179. 21 . 1 . 1 . 50 . 29 . 57 . 2 . 2 . .307 . .341 . .359 . .701 133 . 502 . 75. 120 .. 250 . 31 . 3 . 31 .106. 51 .195 .13 . 4 . .239 . .309 . .498 . .807
  12. I'm fine with Jeremy arguing against ABW being as high as the rest had him, but having James Beresford ahead of him is a freaking joke. At that point you are just trying to make a point. In my opinion, it's a terrible point.
  13. Home town. Not Homer
  14. As an aside.... The Braves are 3-24 in the last 4 weeks. Wow!
  15. Twins vs Chicago - Make the southsiders cry. Go Twins! Kansas City vs Baltimore - For all intents and purposes, Baltimore is out of it, but they aren't technically out of it. Let's root for KC to end any glimmer of hope they have. Also, KC has been in a bit of a tail slide recently and Toronto is only 3 games back of them. We really want that series at the end of the year not to mean anything to Kansas City. Go Royals! Toronto vs New York - Like I said above, Toronto is trying to chase down KC, which we don't want to happen, BUT..... I think we'd rather have New York lose. They've been in a little slide, and I wouldn't mid them sliding back into the pack in the wild card race. Go Blue Jays! Oakland vs Texas - Duh. Go A's! Houston vs LA - Hmmmmm. I could go either way on this. I'd like LA to just go away and Houston taking two over the weekend would go a long way toward that goal. On the flip side, it's always nice when teams ahead of us lose. We are playing LA next weekend (they play Seattle in between) and I'd like to be 3 or 4 clear of them before the 4 game homestand. This is a tough one.... Go Astros! Detroit vs Cleveland - Cleveland is only 3.5 games back of the Twins. Go Tigers! Boston vs Tampa Bay - Tampa is only 4 games back of the Twins. Go Red Sox! The only other AL game is Seattle vs Colorado - I can't even dream up a scenario where this game matters for this year. But Seattle is in the AL and all things being equal I'd prefer they have a worse draft pick. Go Mariners!
  16. Can Santana throw the next coue pitches from the upslope of the mound? Supposedly that helps.
  17. O/U on the number of SB in the next 3 innings.... 1.5
  18. Dammit, Dick!!!!! I wanted God Bless America. Don't tease me like that and leave me hanging with a Fischer Nuts promo!!!!
  19. Not if Dozier continues to spiral down into "bad Hunter" territory.
  20. Danny Valencia batting clean-up for the A's tonight.
  21. Eaton can easy-swing it out to dead center. Check that out, Joe.
