  1. You touched on it, but what exactly is the point of Ryan watching Berrios' start tomorrow. JO already has 150ip (not SSS) and Ryan just watched him fan 12 in 7 shutout innings. On the spectrum of "16k no-hitter" to "not getting out of the first inning", what options are floating around in Ryan's head. TR: Well, if he throws a no-hitter, he can ride with me in first class back to MSP, but if he stinks then he stays in Rochester and has to be the one to tell all the other Sept 1 callups, with a sign around his neck that says "not ready" WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT TO SEE, TERRY?!?!
  2. Rosario throws a strike from right field just for fun
  3. What's your source? I can't find anything about this.
  4. We are in no position to consider "what will we do if we make the postseason" You try your best to get there and figure it out if it happens. If that means calling up Berrios to start in Milone's spot knowing that if you get there you probably need to move Berrios to the pen.... So be it. Pitching can be a funny thing. A lot can change in 6 weeks. Pitchers who stink now, might "find it" in October. Not long ago Pelfrey was lights out.
  5. Blaine Boyer = Tormund Giantsbane = Wyndham Rewards Wyzard
  6. Paul Molitor clearly doesn't like nice things.... Did he just forget to call down to the pen?
  7. No activity in the Twins Pen?!?!
  8. Buxton would have beat that out
  9. Part of me likes getting those calls right but another part of me wonders if squeezing players on those types of plays as well as the "proximity" call at 2nd are going to change the way players slide or hang on 2nd base, and they are going to get injured more
  10. Or just leave the bat on his shoulder
  11. Now lets get their damn pitcher out of the game
  12. Oooooh.... That was a decent chance for an inside the park HR, if it hadn't bounced over the fence.
  13. These fans are annoying loudmouths
  14. Make that 4/5 with a BB
  15. Chris Herrmann.... perfect game assassin
  16. The MLB average over the last decade is: 57.6% of HR are solo HR. That's gotta be like 10 standard deviations from normal
  17. Leave it to the Twins to have the Yankees lose their cleanup hitter, but have his rookie replacement, who is 1/9 in his career, come in an crush them.
  18. I don't know if this was mentioned in yesterday's game thread, but Bert mentioned a stat yesterday that I thought was TRULY remarkable. (I might not get the number exactly right, but it's close) The last 18 homeruns the Twins have given up have been multi-run homeruns. 9 - Two run HR 6 - Three run HR 3 - Grand Slams That's insane. Just let that sink in.
  19. I will say, that pitch wasn't THAT bad
