  1. Horrible challenge costs them as they can’t challenge Polanco being obviously safe - unbelievable.
  2. I enjoy Morneau on the broadcast as well.
  3. Yesterday's loss was painful but there were many good points highlighted here in the Article - Maeda pitching out of difficulty, Buxton, Kepler at the plate, Stashak, Rogers and Robles in the Bullpen. Perhaps most worrisome to me is the 17 K's but just one game we will see how it plays out. Watching the White Sox-Angels game made me feel a little better. Chicago had some issues in the field late and their bullpen blew the lead in the 8th. Iglesias closing for the Angels looked pretty Haderish - right-handers had some futile swings against him.
  4. The beginning of this year feels a lot like the end of the last 2 years.
  5. Well-deserved loss - sloppy fielding - so many strikeouts. Pulled defeat out of the jaws of victory - Good news is we have 161 more. Bad news is this is looking a lot like our playoff defeats.
  6. Garver and Buxton competing for who can strike out the most in the opening game.
  7. Great write-up Parker! Very interesting and informative. Excited to see him pitch this season.
  8. I am fortunate to be a Twins fan that lives in Texas so I will subscribe to mlb.tv again and catch most of the games. I’ll miss the Houston and Texas games which will be blacked out. I have YouTube TV which does not have the local FoxSW channel any more.
  9. I have to say this team is an absolute joke in the playoffs. Except it is not very funny if you are a fan. I believe the worst team in either league, the Pirates or Rangers would sweep us.
  10. I am not watching the game today just following along here - one to hopefully change our fortune and two because I just couldn't stand to see us lose our 18th playoff game in a row. And it is the way we play that makes it so hard to watch. Looks like nothing has changed so far ....
  11. It ain't the Yankees it's us.
  12. Hello Offense - Hello? Anyone there? Please get a run or two this inning.
  13. I was kind of looking forward to watch Jeffers bat - C'mon Astudillo
  14. We got Buxton batting this inning at least
  15. Cruz took advantage of the Ump missing Strike 3
  16. Normally I consider our 3B coach too conservative with his sends but that was way aggressive. I was saying no, no, no stop. Perhaps he is just not very good at knowing when to send runners.
  17. Sure has been fun to watch May pitch the last 2 days.
  18. As a fellow Bulldog I am especially pulling big-time for Mr Rooker - hopefully he can help change our performance against Lefties.
  19. I was counting on the time spent together as a time for the players to share their viewpoints on discrimination. When you have a personal interaction that can have more impact than just reading a tweet or even as well-meaning as they are and I applaud the team for coming together and choosing to take their action to boycott - the boycotts. To go with the ride-along - the league could hold a discrimination online seminar on the same day with the police and players watching together. Probably start the morning with that and that invites further discussion during the day.
  20. Mother Nature getting in her social justice boycott today. She had to one-up the team's Thursday action and get a 2-fer in. Let's play 2x2! The Twins are shaving 8 innings off what they have to play 4 7 inning games instead of the original 4 9 inning games. Be interesting to see how they approach the games pitching-wise. If the starters can go deep hopefully it won't impact the bullpen too much but will impact the rotation going into next week unless they use 1 or 2 bullpen games in the double-headers.
  21. I have a suggestion for the next player/team boycott over police actions and this can apply to all leagues. I work for a company that has a significant sales force. Often the corporate folks will disparage the sales people out in the field - why can't they sell while the sales people would say why can't the corporate folks support us better. We have a ride with the rep option so that both sides can get a better understanding what the other does. My suggestion would be for the next boycott shut down all all games for a day and the players, managers, owners take a shift with a police officer in their area. This way each side will get a better understanding of what the other goes through. It is called building bridges as opposed to lobbing grenades. We have seen enough tweets and speeches on this topic to know it is an issue how about some action.
  22. I am a bit lukewarm on it but ok with the expanded playoffs for this short season, if we even make it to the end of the season. I think a lot of teams will be bunched together if there were only 5 spots in each league. I will be real happy they expanded the playoffs if we finish 6th in the league. I don't want to see the playoffs expand once we go back to the full regular season schedule. One thing is for sure in the short series, if we played the Yankees in 10 playoff series we would lose them all.
